Service a little long but worth the delay. Saturday nights may not be the appropriate night to go to this restaurant. Reservation is essential.

We were going to see a show so the restaurant suggested we choose from the table d'hôte. 3 of us had the New York steak and the meat was tough. It may be more of a pasta/pizza place.

Good food and service. Options for half a creative pizza plus salad. Wine at SAQ prices. What more could you ask?

Right in front of the Hôtel des Gouverneur in an vey well kept antique house. Simple good food, unpretentious and low prices. Was here on business and at night. Table d'hôte with soup, a nicely cooked salmon and lots of vegetables. A nice homemade cake for desert and all for $17. Awesome. Wine list is very short and not very... More

and hungry to boot. a small diversion into Trois-Rivieres to a small treasure. The tomato soup was to die for and the rest of lunch worked hard to keep up and made it. amazing what you find off the beaten track!

So glad we went here on our last night in Trois Rivieres. The best service we have had. Food was excellent. The Garlic Salad and the Blue Cheese salad were both perfect. Proper temperature, fresh local greens, and well tossed in the proper amount of homemade dressings. The Osso Buco was very nice, falling apart in a hearty sauce. I... More

Great atmosphere and good food for lunches and dinners. The service is good and polite. A good variety of meals is offered of fastfood and typical french canadian food. A sure shot

Trois-Rivieres and the restaurant Au Four A Bois have a lot in common. They both expect tourists to just keep coming. The restaurant has a nice setting with an outsde seating area. It is just far enough away from the tourist main street to tempt you into thinking that they cater for locals. My wife and I ordered fillet steak... More

A friend and I had dinner at RESTAURANT FOUR À BOIS May 23, 2012. He had the lamb shank and couldn't stop raving about it. I had the scallops puff pastry in saffron - also very good. It's been about 10 years since I had lunch there . . . and still great!
