Overall, lovely. Massive choice of teas and coffee. And hot chocolate for the children. Very nice sandwiches and then all you can eat cake buffet. We couldn't eat as much as we'd thought we would! My only criticisms are that we saw a cupboard of games as we were leaving which would have useful had they been pointed out to... More

My friend and I had lunch at Hotel Endsleigh where we were made to feel very welcome. We sat in the restaurant overlooking the gardens and had a lovely meal served by very attentive staff. After lunch we sat in the lounge where another member of staff lit the log fire so that we could be more comfortable. Will visit... More

Wonderful food, perfect setting and a place where dogs are made as welcome as their owners. You are even given a private room in which to dine so your dog can join you.

We made a late decision and booked lunch arriving for a table at 2.15pm. This can often be an issue as staff invariably seem to have switched off by then. But not here, we weren't rushed or hurried. Very relaxing and casual. The food was superb, staff very "on the ball" and nothing too much effort at all. A great... More

A large group of us went to Endsleigh for a Christmas Lunch. We were allocated a private room beautifully prepared with crackers and a nice crackling fire. The staff were very unobtrusive but efficient and coped with our slightly noisy yet cheerful group. The food was great for a good value set lunch. Simple but well delivered and with a... More

We had been highly recommended Hotel Endsleigh so decided to sample Sunday lunch. Whilst having a pre dinner drink in the lounge we were given the menu to peruse. The menu stated 2 courses for £22 with no individual prices on any of the options. We moved in to the dining room, ordered and went on to enjoy 2 delicious... More

We were given a stable room that comfortably sat 20 people for an evening meal. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a very enjoyable evening.

Description
Hotel Endsleigh dining room is a superbly stylish, historic spot on the edge of Dartmoor with unmatched views, the sister hotel of the superhot Tresanton in Cornwall. Hip designer Olga Polizzi has winningly brought the historic Grade I shooting and fishing lodge into the 21st century while honouring its Regency soul and it is run by her perfectionist daughter Alex Polizzi. The elegant wood-panelled dining room with the Duke of Bedford and friends family crests looks out onto the Humphrey Repton garden. Chef Christopher Dyke uses local and regional produce to devise his English menu complemented by a thoughtful international wine list. This is country house cool.
