Twelve of us hiked up to Peyrepertuse and we wanted to stop for lunch before going on to Queribus so we descended upon Auberge la Batteuse and they were very accommodating! They moved tables to allow us all to sit together, checked the status of their Plats du Jour (only six left), but were very helpful in finding delicious lunches... More

The food wasn't great, the service was slow. Not a great experience. We ordered a kids menu and when it came to desert we were told it wasn't available and gave him a small pot of ice cream.

We had an excellent meal here. Despite our rubbish French and the staff speaking limited English, they could not have been more helpful. Food really tasty- completely agree with previous review- the beans were divine! Atmosphere relaxed. We ate early but it was filling up as we left. Does not look much from the roadside but definitely worth a visit.

I had dinner here late one night as they were about to shut down. They were kind enough to create a goats cheese salad for me on the spot and it was really enjoyable. Lovely service and a cute looking restaurant.

We ate here our first night in town and came back the following night as it was so good. Big portions, just what you need after a long day walking on the hills. Including drinks, we paid 40 - 45 Euros for two people. .

We had a really great dinner, the "sanglier" was wonderful, as was the rest of the food. Easy parking, nice staff, a great time!

I asked what one of the preparations was and was told they soaked the beans overnight and then added goodness how many ingredients.....The wild boar was shot by one of the villagers..that sort of restaurant. No frills, full of French people having their Sunday lunch, nice local wine, very friendly service. Just what we needed after a chilly visit to... More

Having just climbed to the top of the nearby chateau Duilhac sous Peyrepertuse, we needed lunch on the road back down. With car parking opposite, we took a table inside the restaurant as it was cool after the heat we had been exposed to during the morning. I had the charcuterie which was superb. The staff were attentive and the... More

If you are visiting the Château de Peyrepertuse and staying in Duilhac, the country restaurant La Batteuse at the highest end of the village is recommended for your evening meal. The restaurant has delicious inexpensive meals and very good local wine from the barrel. There is an á la carte menu – and the dish of the day is only... More

After a much longer drive than anticipated to get to Château de Peyrepertuse, we stopped to get lunch in this lovely little quiet village. The people who ran the place were very friendly. The menu was a good value and tasty. The quiche was not as good.
