The owner told me that 'we decided to create a place that we ourselves would be happy to stay in'. Well, they clearly have high standards - and they have lived up to their plan.... More

We booked the function room for a 50th birthday family lunch. Service was excellent (thanks Shona) and food was tasty and well priced.

This village Inn has a good atmosphere and lovely dishes. The staff is friendly, welcomming and helpful. I personally find that in those small villages you experience the local atmosphere. The food is however average to good, but it's the entourage, the company you're with that counts the most. The staff does everything it can to please you as a... More

Meat feast did not have egg as it stated and the roast potato chips were frozen in the middle, None of the food was piping hot. Another... More

It has taken me a few weeks to reply to this review because I was so bemused when I first read it. It would be easy to reply with platitudes, but when people write reviews like this one I think a more detailed reply is necessary. Firstly we were meant to be closed on the specific day in question as... More

Was looking to find somewhere to hold our annual conference that was going to be different and I can say the village inn is brilliantly different. We were situated in the function room and the owners Kev and Leigh had put on fresh coffee and warm crossiants on for our arrival which I thought was a lovely touch on a... More
