Small But Unique

(Aug 2022) Timber Shuswap has been open for a bit more than a month...the chef came from a nearby resort that unfortunately had a devastating fire. He puts his own unique touch into the menu items here. When we visited, they still didn't have a liquor licence, but our server told us they were expecting it within the next month or two. I had the Calamari appetizer followed by the Bacon Fried Rice entree. Although the accompanying sauce with the calamari was heavenly, I found the calamari itself wasn't as crisp as I like it. The Bacon Fried Rice just looked unique and different to me than the other menu items, and that's why I tried it. It was fine, but certainly nothing special, and I doubt I'd order it again. My wife had the Burratta salad appetizer, and the Crispy Chicken entree. Both were very good. The Crispy Chicken actually comes (standalone) as a burger that's about 6 to 8 inches high! And yes, you can get fries or poutine as a side dish if you want. A friend ordered the Duck Breast, not yet shown on their menu webpage. It was accompanied by some nice lentils in a rich-looking sauce, and he reported that it was tender and delicious. His wife had the Burratta salad as her entree, and also stated that it was delicious. It looks like this restaurant tries very hard to source much of their food locally, which is very nice for the local farmers and food producers.

Perfect After Hike Brunch

Timber is a welcome addition to the Sorrento/Blind Bay dining scene. After a great hike with the family, we were looking for serious grub and Timber did not disappoint. Portions are huge and the service is very good. From pancakes with lovely semi-sweet chocolate to awesome Eggs Benedict (will ask for more of the awesome Hollandaise sauce next time), both were well received. Fried potatoes were da bomb! Big boy bowl had a great melange of chorizo and potatoes and biscuit. Eggs in all cases were cooked perfectly. Service was good. Wish there were more outdoor tables although the inside was nice. Also, they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Well worth a visit!

Very good local place to eat.

The food was good and the service also. The restaurant is somewhat cramped and there is a sense that diners are cheek by jowl with others. The breakfast menu is available at lunch time and the Eggs Benedict are excellent. We had a hamburger, Eggs Benedict and a couple of sandwiches. The meal was very good and the staff friendly and jocular. The staff make the diners feel valued and welcome. The chef provides a meal that is attractive and carefully prepared. There is no sense that this is a fast food enterprise.

It's worth driving out from Salmon Arm to Blind Bay for!

I can see why this place is so popular. The menu is excellent, large quantities, great service and reasonable prices. It's run by a husband and wife who know what they are doing. We would try their dinner menu but we're seniors who are no longer comfortable driving in the dark.

Unexpected find in Blind Bay!

Absolutely fantastic. The meal was outstanding, somewhat surprising to find this quality of culinary delight in Blind Bay. Well worth the drive. One hint - book early on Prime Rib night, it is worth it.

Gem of a restaurant

We dined here twice during our stay in Blind Bay. The food is outstanding. Creative dishes promoting local ingredients all beautifully presented. The cod was cooked to perfection. One of the best fish dishes I have ever had. This restaurant is a gem. My only negative comment would be that the restaurant is rather loud.

Love ❤️ the Food

5 Star Service with Delicious Food in a great location just off highway 1. We love coming here for date night or when friend visit us we take them here as the the food and service is consistently great. 👍 this restaurant is definitely worth the drive from salmon arm.

Blind Bay Must Eat here

We were out driving the area with a friend from out of town & we stumbled on this cute place. Our gal Emma was lovely, the food (Timber Burger & Sambo) was delicious, fresh & well priced. Very happy we stopped in & will definitely be back when we are in the area!!

Diner DELICIOUS

Big City diner in tiny Blind Bay (the jewel of the Shuswap). If you live around here or are just stopping by on your way to and from the coast, this is a must stop. The food is imaginative, innovative and just damn delicious! Check out their page on Facebook - seriously - do it. The staff are pretty awesome too! Thumbs way up.

Weekend Lunch

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Timber today. I had the Timber burger and it was just the best. Also had the very tasty & flavourful mushroom potato soup. Num! Staff was very attentive and friendly and we will definitely be going back. Blind Bay is lucky to have this restaurant in our community!

New Years Eve set menu

Excellent food and creativity that can only come from an accomplished chef and great team. Five course meal and wine pairing, perfectly paced, worth every penny. A great place anytime if you want the best ingredients and professional execution. Glad to have Timber in such a small community.

Side of the road gold

The brunch was epic…best benny in 1000 miles. They even had a lobster benny special. Scratch made everything. We even got the owner to sell us their jam. Chicken looked epic as well. A must stop on the road trips east. Easy on off the hwy. farm to table goodness. Good food not just hype. You won’t be disappointed.
