It's a basic cafe with good food at good prices. We had a coffee stop as the derwent Valley way passes close by. Amazing scones!

We enjoyed our lunch so much. We had egg, ham, chips and salad. Excellent value and service. There's plenty of choice but we wanted comfort food. The portions were too big for us but can't please everyone I suppose. We ate outside as it was a nice sunny day. Well done ladies will have a light bite next time though and... More

The good things about this cafe make it a 5 star place. The bad makes it 1/2 stars. The good things are having a nice seating area inside, a broad menu and somewhere to have a nice warm drink. One of the staff has always been lovely and friendly. The bad things are it closing at random times, including bank... More

We quite often pop in for a coffee when we're having a long walk. The staff are very helpful and nice. The cafe does breakfasts and jacket potatoes etc. It's nearly always busy in there. The cakes on the counter always look appealing.

I've visited this café on a number of occasions recently as my daughter lives close by. It offers a reasonably priced basic café menu of freshly prepared food and a tempting selection of homemade cakes. The staff are friendly and the place is always clean. The café overlooks the park's lake (they sell bags of food for the ducks!) and... More

Having previously had the misfortune to visit this cafe and determined not to return, I was towards the end of last year taken there by a friend after reassuring me it had changed. Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the improved standards and much friendlier staff. When I have given a review that was not good, I do try to... More

The cafe in in the heart of Alvaston park by the lake and children's play area. Ideal for parents. Been here a couple of times now and we've always had fantastic service. Love the cooked breakfast. Plus we always end up taking the cafes own made cakes and scones home with us. Staff are friendly helpful and always willing to... More
