Nigo Pezigo (di Minucciani Alice) is a wonderful little trattoria just opposite the Castello Malaspina. It has perhaps 15 tables or so, and is a husband and wife operation: he is in the dining room and she is the chef (and co-owner, as he emphasized). Nigo Pezigo is spotlessly clean and has a cheery, comfortable décor. Our meals were excellent.... More

Located just outside the Fosdinovo castle, this is a very good restaurant. The owner is charming and the food excellent.

Lovely local, honest food from a husband and wife team. We were staying in the castle and this is just a minute's walk away. Great selection, everything homemade and delicious. Amazing value wine (I recommend the 15 euro 2009 Gruppolungo from Castel Del Piano). Brilliant desserts and experience was all-round very good (and unexpected) from such a random little out... More

We were staying in the neighbouring castle and on our first night, Tuesday, Nigo Pezigo was closed (beware - it closes every Tuesday and in the winter). The only other place to eat in the village is a small bar (the pasta was actually good). We were really looking forward to our meal here on our last night. I don't... More

We dined here two consecutive nights and couldn't fault our experience. Both nights (the first was on a very busy Saturday night) the service was excellent, the food basic but done very well and the wine llist ample for such a small restaurant. Federico who owns and runs the restaurant with his wife ( who cooks) was very engaging, a... More

Nigo Pezigo is located in the charming little carriage house of the historic (and beautifully-preserved) Malaspina Castle in Fosdinovo, Italy, in the general vicinity of Carrara and about an hour's drive from the Cinque Terre. The setting is striking, with arched walls opening to windows overlooking the entire Lunigiana plain, the vast Mediterranean and, on clear days, even the islands... More

We had dinner last night in Nigo Pezigo, a greatwelcome by Fedrico, who by the way speaks English very well, his wife Alice, is the chef, and everything she cooks is from local fresh produce, delicious ravioli, pappardelle with duck and the list goes on,can't recommend it highly enough. A genjine couple who deserve the acclaim they receive.
