We ate only one meal (dinner mid-afternoon) but it was excellent It caters to tourists but no one but natives were there when we were.A house specialty pork dish with all sorts of garnishings. Exemplary service.

This is a perfect place to sample "comida tipica" in Campeche. The food is authentic and well prepared. Our seafood was fresh. If you are in Campeche to experience the local culture and food, this is one of the best.

Our visit here was a very mixed bag. The restaurant itself is in a great location on the main square. The waiter was extremely pleasant and helpful and our food was served in a timely fashion. We ordered Chimichangas filled with Cochinita Pibil (marinated shredded pork which is popular in the area) as a starter and they were excellent, as... More

This hotel is right in the heart of the historic city center. I had their house special fish fillet plate with cheese ball for dinner on a Saturday. Tip: If you eat here on a Saturday for dinner, grab the one table by the window and enjoy the complimentary family friendly show put on by the city that shows the... More

The best restaurant we went too in 3 weeks traveling across Mexico. Ok, the decoration is not amazing and the room does not have a view on the Zocalo. But the food is amazing. So everything is a matter of preferences :) We like to eat well and we were not disappointed at all! We had fishes that were so... More

The restaurant is located right in the zocalo, so its location is fantastic. The decor is a bit dated but the service was very attentive, and the cuisine was tasty. The menu had many regional dishes.

We found that the El Bastion was one of the better places on the plaza, with a large variety of seafood and regional dishes! A must place to eat for those who like Coconut Shrimp!

Don't go here. It's a lovely situation in the edge of the main square. But the food we had was terrible, the 'Mexican salad' was just iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber slices into a bowl. That's it! No dressing. Nothing. My sister had a turkey dish and it not only looked like baby poo, it tasted awful and made her... More

We had dinner here and it was very good. The walls of the restaurant are covered with great black and white pictures of Campeche which puts you back in time. We had the cochinito pibil which was very tasty. The waiter was very nice and engaged in a talk when I asked him about the pictures. The fish dish Pan... More

We went into El Bastion because it is one of the few air conditioned restaurants on the main square. The margaritas were very good. We enjoyed our meal but felt that for the price it could have been better.
