We hadn't been here for more than 22 years, when it used to be a regular haunt - but it is still a great place to eat AND drink. I had the homemade Steak & Ale Pie (Fantastic) and my wife had Chicken Chasseur (also...More

Looking for a pub for dinner to meet with friends after a visit to the Tank Museum. I called to see if I needed to book a table at 6pm, and was advised to do so. By 6.30pm the bar was very busy and all...More

a bit disappointing, lovely landlord who was very sympathetic. I just didn't like the dish. I felt the meal let down the lovely surroundings. Iget the impression that mine was a one off. Everyone else loved theirs...

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal here. The beef and ale pie was a proper pie and a real winner. The service is friendly and prompt with a great atmosphere.

This is a lovely old pub. It is light and airy inside with a boat suspended from the ceiling in the main bar area! The staff were friendly. The menu is imaginative and a cut above normal pub food. The prices are reasonable too. I...More

Lovely dinner at this beautiful presented thatched pub. Food was good (especially the steak and ale pie). We were well looked after and the kids enjoyed ham, egg and chips “very good” crips think chips. I would recommend booking ahead.

Haven’t been to this pub for about seven years and what a transformation! Wonderful array of beers (and gin!) and lunch was befitting of the ambience. Restaurant is quaint and you would need to book well in advance during holiday periods.
