La Torre was recommended or we would not have eaten at all. It transpired to be an ideal luncheon spot with as should be expect great fish dishes.

It was Sunday afternoon just outside of Portobelo and they had the best crowd of places we saw. I had a Patacone type of nacho that was very good. My wife ordered octopus and felt like it was canned. All in all it was nice to sit outside and upstairs but there was no view of the sea. Would we... More

Our tour guide suggested we stop at La Torre and we are glad she did. The location is right on the main road, which is too traveled, so seating near the road is not too loud. The service was very friendly and they had a menu in English. The three of us all ordered something different. One had garlic shrimp,... More

Not often you find a central american restaurant that can prepare a great sauce. That was the case at La Torre last week when we had the Corvina al ajillo (garlic sauce) for lunch. In addition the octopus was wonderful in a dark sauce. If you are in the Portobello area make time for this family owned, clean and comfortable... More

All 4 of us had different plates and they were all good! Try the coconut octopus, fried corvina, garlic shrimp, filet with lemon. Oh and a sangria! We will return!

Ate here with three growing boys. I had a hamburger, they had fish and shrimp. It was very good. They serve cokes ice cold in the bottle.

The corvina was anything but ordinary. My wife had the filet version while I had the more traditional whole fried. Both were excellent presentations of this Panama standard (which I had 10+ times). The yucca, plantains, slaw, and sauces were very good. So while this is a good choice for eating, it is an IDEAL SPOT for a stop if... More
