I was last night in this restaurant I ate linguine with seafood,,,,,,,was a huge portion,,,,,really big,,,,,,fantastic quality.....one of my best pasta ever!!!! The place is like rustic-hipster decoration and the service is good. I pay for a really nice toast of chopped fresh tomato and...fantastic virgin olive oil,,,,,,,the linguine with seafood,,,,,a glass of nice wine,,,,just 22 euros,,,,,i think this is really cheap to be close to rome,,,,,,,, All food was tasty and big portions,,,,,,,just one litle thing.....a litlte bit of less salt,,,,,but all was fantastic. I really recomended this restaurant for a nice mealMore

Found purely by chance this restaurant deserves a visit for the exquisite food and friendly service. It’s 10 minutes drive from Fiumicino centre/airport but a quick taxi/car ride is well worth.

Last night staying in Rome by the airport and they recommended this restaurant. Fabulous pizza! Great seafood. If you have a chance stop by for a beer and pizza, staff great!

This meal was one of the best meals we had in Italy in the three weeks we stayed there. The staff were great and the food was fresh. It doesn't say on here but this place definitely specializes in seafood. The pizza looked great too...but we ordered various pasta dishes and seafood was the predominant ingredient on the menu. The costs were extremely reasonable given the huge portions. We both left full and completely satisfied. Final thoughts: based on our experience, it would be a shame if you never made the effort to eat here. Amazing.More

Recommended by a colleague, I happen to come once for lunch...the place is in a calm residential part of Focene, it has a very nice veranda and a relaxed atmosphere. I tried the Linguine Allo Scoglio and the portion was very big and the quality...of the pasta and fish very high. All cooked amazingly well... The pizza is very good as well. Let yourself recommend by the waiters/owner what suits more to your tastes and you'll be satisfied.More

Bar grandi is located on a small street in the seaside neighborhood of Focene (right up against the west side of Fiumicino airport). Wonderful outdoor seating under a leaf covered arbor. Prices are very reasonable for food and drinks. tThey serve a full menu and...some great pizzas as well. I had a fiori di zucca appetizer ( zuchhini flower) stuffed with cheese, plunged into a batter and then deep fried. With my Pizza al aglio (garlic), I also had a green salad and a small (375ml ) bottle of red wine. Total cost just over 20 euros. the following 2 nights I went back for after dinner drinks (2) . total cost each evening 5 euros. Wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. Numerous parties of Italians came each night I was there intent on eating good food, drinking good wine and enjoying each other's company in a quiet setting.More

We drove round looking for Bar Grandi because it had been recommended, we were just about to give up when we came across it. I am very glad that we persevered. To start we ordered a portion of mussels to share. A generous portion of...mussels arrived in an attractive dish with slices of bread on the side. If I was asked to give a score out of ten for this starter I would say 10/10 with a gold star for the stock. It was divine. Omar, the chef/co owner told me it was down to the quality of the mussels and the stock was made quite simply with garlic, olive oil, white wine and a dash of chilli. For a main I liked the sound of the grilled tuna. After checking that the fish was fresh, not frozen, I placed my order. I really enjoy fresh fish but I am not easily pleased because often fish is over cooked which destroys the flavour and the texture. However, this was not the case at Bar Grandi as the tuna was grilled to perfection, still tender and ever so slightly pink in the middle. The fish was served with a dash of parley & garlic and olive oil dressing. Simple, but so tasty. My other half opted for fried mixed fish, again the fish was very fresh and fried in a light dusting of flour, very tasty. We shared a bottle of white wine bearing a Bar Grille label, the wine was okay, and the second glass was better than the first! We chatted to Omar whilst we sipped a complimentary grappa, all in all it was a very pleasant evening. If there was one thing that could be improved it would be the waitress' manner, however Omar made up for that shortcoming.More

I have to say it, I'm Italian and I been living abroad (well still living abroad), due to business reasons and life style I find myself eating in restaurants pretty often but I rarely write a review, this time I really feel it is something...to do! The ambience in the restaurant is fantastic if you go for a casual dinner, the staff is great and the food, well, the food is just incredible! Extremely fresh ingredients and definitely a master in the kitchen, no other words needed I guess! A must try!!!More

Our B&B recommended this restaurant and we loved it! After a walk through the neighborhood, we followed the delicious smell of the pizza oven. Charming eating outdoors under a leafy arbor. Lots of locals. We watched a huge wonderful seafood pasta go by, but ordered...pizza and it was excellent.More
