Worth waiting for (over 2 years) . Great beers , great atmosphere. On a cold winter day , sitting near one of the fireplaces sipping at a real pint , takes you back when a pub was a pub. Nothing fancy but great for drinking . At this time of year , with daffs along the road , on the... More

I can't seem to walk past the front door without going in. Always looks so inviting. So happy that our local pub is now one of my favourite places to be. Always a warm welcome, beautifully kept beers, great food, reasonable price and now recognised by CAMRA. It seems to be attracting a wide mix of people too - walkers,... More

A lovely surprise to find this welcoming pub in a pretty village. Log fires, nooks and crannies, great choice of real ales, friendly welcome, and huge well cooked pub lunches at sensible prices. You have to go a long way to find an atmosphere like this.

A place with real atmosphere and charm, several rooms with quirky seating and tables give this place the feeling of past times. Definitely worth traveling to visit, the village is in a lovely setting and there are good walks in the area

Log fires, candles, wobbly tables, cobwebs, great food , great beers (made in their own micro brewery) best avoided.

This really is a welcoming pub with log fires and friendly staff. Good beers and good food. The sandwiches have big slices of beef or ham, enough for two. It was very busy when we arrived about 1 O'clock and had to wait for a table.

Oh my word, this place is great. A friend of mine recommended it. When I first walked through the door, I wasn't sure what to expect. Candles on tables, log fires. All really old fashioned. I had the farmers platter. It was excellent. So cheap too. The Staff were really warm and welcoming. The only downside was that the waitress... More

Anywhere that sells Theakstons best bitter at £2.50 a pint is always going to get my vote. In addition to that it is a lovely old pub with 2 bars and candles which gives it a relaxing ambience. Loved it.

The Kindling Club are a group of drinkers who seek out a cosy pub with a fire and some good beer. The Bay Horse did not let them down. It had a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic beer and three fires! Franco and his team were superb ! Very highly recommended.
