This is a very nice restaurant. The food is really good. It has a nice vibe. The staff is amazing and very attentive. Our waiter Summer awesome as well as our other waiter, I call him DJ because he knows all the good music. Me and my friends started singing “push it” by Salt and Pepper when he took us to our rooms and he played the song for us when we went to eat dinner. Overall me and my group had a blast at this restaurant.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful 5-night stay at Casa del Rio. From day one, we were warmly welcomed by Summer, a remarkable restaurant team member whose enthusiasm and friendliness made us feel right at home. Our first lunch was delightful - the kids enjoyed fresh spaghetti while we savored crisp salads and margaritas. Everything was expertly prepared and delicious. Really fealt the care and detail in each dish.
The service and atmosphere were truly exceptional - a perfect 10/10, with in-door out-door dining. Within just a few days, Summer would greet our 3-year-old son with a cheerful "Amigo," which always brought a smile to his face. We were particularly impressed by the chef's dedication in preparing fresh, customized vegan meals daily for my husband.
The entire restaurant team at Casa del Rio went above and beyond to make our stay special...as I rarely write reviews, but this team deserved recognition. Their genuine hospitality and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable.

We stayed at Casa Del Rio on a family vacation. La Cuenca is the on site restaurant and our breakfast was included in the stay. We enjoyed their complimentary breakfast so much that we returned both nights of our stay for their dinners! We had a party of 13 and each person in our group was highly satisfied with the quality of food and service! Summer was very attentive and professional. He made each experience memorable. He seemed to always be ready to help. Axel was also very helpful and even taught us some Costa Rican Spanish! We highly recommend this restaurant!

This place far exceeded our expectations. It had great food and service. The service was phenomenal. Diego, Diego (Summer), and Wilbert were great and made our experience memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were very nice and fun. We enjoyed their service so much that we always made sure to get lunch, dinner, or drinks at the restaurant every single day we stayed at the hotel.
We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. If and when we ever go back to Costa Rica, we will definitely come back here again. They are one of the main reasons why we enjoyed our trip!

We recently went on a walk to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we really couldn’t choose a better place, it was an unforgettable experience a beautiful place with an unbeatable natural environment that invites rest and relaxation. The service was spectacular chef Arias with excellent treatment, delicious food and great willingness to please my food needs. The guys at the restaurant Jose, Andres and Axel people who really made us feel at home.
Without a doubt super recommended this place, to which we hope to return soon.

We came here as part of our honeymoon, and had such an amazing dinner at Cuenca. Jose and Summer were very attentive and charming, and the food (we had salmon) was really fresh and tasty. Lovely dessert too. A great last night for us in La Fortuna, come here if you want to treat yourself to a little extra.

My Husband and I enjoyed dinner and breakfast at this restaurant multiple times during our stay and they have the BEST food and service we have experiences here in CR! From fresh squeezed juice every morning, amazing fresh pastries and did we mention they have their own chickens on property for the eggs ?! Unbelievable! We will be back ! This restaurant has amazing breakfast and dinner. During breakfast, we were surprised with very fresh fruit and also a basket of local baked goods. They were incredible! The baked goods had plantain bread, cinnamon rolls, jelly filled rolls and a local warm bread with pulled chicken and vegetables. Best bread ever!! Dinner also included fresh bread that had a perfect amount of seasoning and butter. I would highly recommend Casa del Rio as a stay and also Cuenca for breakfast and dinner, it was incredible food with even better service. Our servers were kind and friendly and Diego Herrera went above and beyond to give us amazing service along with suggestions of what is fun to do in La Fortuna. Cuenca is a must visit if you are in town!

We stayed at Casa del Rio and were lucky to have Cuenca Restaurante on site. We had multiple dinners there and the complimentary breakfast the food was always great. It was very reassuring to know at the end of long active days we could count on this restaurant to deliver great food and truly outstanding service. Ronaldo and summer/Diego were top notch and provided the most attentive and personal service. Truly five star service that made our time at casa del Rio extra special.

La Cuenca restaurant at Casa Del Rio is delicious and has the nicest staff. The breakfast is included in the hotel price and is delicious—and it’s not buffet as you order off of the menu. Definitely try the Costa Rican breakfast. The view of Arenal are incredible. Highly recommend!

Excellent service, delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. We had breakfast twice and dinner once while we stayed at Casa Del Rio resort. The Home baked breads were made with love, my cappuccino (almond milk) was fabulous and all of our dishes exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I loved every dish that they have on their menu — from breakfast to dinner. Their ceviches are amazing! We tried every version of ceviches they have and loved every single one of them. The place also has a very beautiful ambiance with an exceptional view of the volcano. The staff’s hospitality makes you feel like you’re home and are a part of their family. All employees are incredibly friendly and looking to create a calm and enjoyable environment. The food is amazing, the banana patties, the rice with chicken, the entrails, the ceviche de corvina, spectacular everything. Staying at the hotel I had breakfast included but could not pass up the opportunity to return at lunch or dinner. They always had some extra courtesy to taste. After a long journey from Flamingo Beach, we decided to stay onsite at Casa Del Rio to eat dinner. I must say, eating at Cuenca did not disappoint. We were greeted and served by Jose, who was wonderful. He was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. He answered all of our questions about the menu and provided great meal recommendations. The seafood fry and penne shrimp were delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and we enjoyed the music playing in the background. We would highly recommend eating here if staying at Casa del Rio.
