I haven't actually got anything much to add to all the 5-star ratings on here...except to say they are all correct. Truly wonderful food and service. Very personal and attentive. We will be back.

What a wonderful find in rural south Cheshire. I had the staples - French onion soup, steak and tarte Tatin. Others in my party had the many special dishes. The food was beautifully presented with healthy sized portions. A wonderful experience.

As a lover of french cuisine I was looking forward to tasting the highly rated food on offer here. I only have one word.....beautiful. The Tournedos Façon “La Popote” was simply out of this world and was cooked to perfection. The Soup a l’Oignon gratinee for starters was just as good and tasted the way all good french food should,... More

Second visit, lovely summer evening. We dined al fresco in the pretty garden. Salmon stuffed with crab for starter, sea bass for main. Real care is taken with the food. All freshly cooked and prepared and it shows. Waitor was pleasant throughout and informative about the menu. A very enjoyable experience.

Travelling though the Cheshire countryside south of Congleton (A34) towards Alderley Edge, my wife & I came across this restaurant. We were welcomed by Lynne to whom we found was part owner of this lovely looking "eatery" with style. Lynne directed us both to a table which suited us where we were able to look around to feel the ambiance,... More

I really like this place. In the middle of the Cheshire countryside sits this excellent French restaurant. Very classic French menu but based on British produce the food is of excellent quality. The place is rather small but very elegantly decorated and has a cosy feel to it. Best in east Cheshire together with Lord Clyde

Our friends recommended his gorgeous place to us and can not thank them enough. The food is stunning! The owners Lynn and Victor are obviously passionate and proud of the gastronomic extravaganza they have created and pour their love and enthusiasm as well as there exacting high standards into each dish. The waiting on staff are spot on especially the... More

The food, service and decor are excellent. Just one let-down: the website advertises the opening time as 18.00 hours. Yet having booked for 7 pm, we arrived at about quarter to seven for a pre-prandial drink, only to find the place shut. Had it closed down? We hung around the car park for a while until some activity was detected... More

Intimate small french restaurant owner run with excellent cuisine and very personalised service. Cooking at the table a speciality. perfect venue for small weddings and private parties. Very pretty garden with outside eating area, overlooking oldest wooden timbered church in Europe from 13th Century.
