We visit The Lobster Pot 3 or 4 times a year with family and friends. Always great service , fantastic food and drink and a great Craic . Good background traditional music. 10/10. See you in July .

We arrived - no booking with a party of 9! Straight in, warm welcome seated promptly. The food was fantastic - everybody was really pleased with their meals. I had the seafood trio - perfectly cooked and very tasty. Unfortunately no lobster due to availability however it wasn't a complaint, I would of had lobster though if it was available.... More

Was visiting Burtonport for a look around and decided to grab something small to eat at lunchtime. I had heard about the chowder in The Lobster Pot and popped in. I did not ask for the menu just asked at the bar "Is the chowder on?" I reckon it is always on, and rightly so. Without even inquiring of the... More

We had high expectations but weren't impressed. The food was ok, and the fish (we had catch of the day) was beautifully fresh. Try to get seated in the main bar area - we were sat away in a cafe-style area with no character. The service was the thing that really let it down: we had to wait at our... More

We both ordered the seafood chowder and prawn sandwich which was fantastic and included a lot of local seafood from Burtonport. The owner and very friendly and the atmosphere was a perfect rest from hiking with a warm fire and comfortable seating. Would stop... More

Best freshly cooked fish I've had in Ireland, well worth the hour and a half drive. We visit this restaurant every time we are in Ireland and in all the years of eating there, it's still as good as ever. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is excellent. Very reasonably priced too.

The owner greeted us and suggested some fresh catch of the day with a local craft beer. He wasn't wrong. Man it was great.
