Wow - what can I say. This meal was the most expensive and least satisfying of anything I have experienced in four weeks in Italy. On the plus side - the tour of the cheese and parma ham vault was incredible. But the superlatives stop there. This restaurant is serving meagre meals (6 frogs' legs the size of a small... More

Arguably one of the best parma ham producers in the world, so that is definately worth a try they are exquisite. The other dishes were full of flavour well presented and exceptionally well balanced. We have been here on the way to milan but actually it is well worth a trip just to experience the flavours.

I spent a very pleasant dinner with friends in this wonderful location on the Po river banks. Food is from the local tradition with several nice touches and peculiar combinations that you won't find anywhere else. Wine list in also excellent but unfortunately presented in an iPad app that cashes with the traditional setting: a proper wine list is a... More

This is our second time visiting this restourant we stayed here five years ago and the place is still used to be. This is birth place of Giuseppe Verdi and their family is founder of creation of ham. All ingredients are made on site which they use for cooking and very tasty. If you have a chance to visit Parma... More

What an extraordinary place. Truly a gastronomic treasure of the world. We stayed one night and were awestruck at every little detail. Rooms are rustic in appearance yet have every modern amenity you might need. Staff are happy to cater to any request. A quick 2 minute walk away is the paddock where they raise their rare black pigs, who... More

Had a wonderful meal here. The experience was fantastic. Delicious food. The young floor staff were friendly and helpful but the more experienced manager/sommelier was a stand out. Picking out a perfectly matched wine that wasn't ridiculously expensive and spent probably 30 minutes talking us through Italian wines. Make sure you go here...

We visited this unpretentious Michelin Star restaurant in July with friends and my 8 year old daughter. Firstly, this restaurant is out of the way but definitely worth a visit. We were based near Verona and made a trip to Cremona (a must if you are in the region as the Stradivarius museum is brilliant - allow 90mins) and after... More

This is a Michelin starred restaurant, attached to a castle with a B&B, a park, its own herb and vegetable garden, and its own prosciutto processing and aging rooms. It’s also located out in the boondocks, near the capital of culatelli – Zibello. It’s about a 45 minute drive from Parma. In other words, you have to really want to... More

This restaurant was exceptional. I had one of the tasting menus and everything was delightful. The property and accommodations are really special and the staff were incredibly helpful. I stayed at ACP in April for two nights. If I had known how wonderful this was going to be I would have stayed longer. Staff went above and beyond to make... More
