Excellent food, very pleasant surroundings. There was a cheese shop close by as well. The entire complex was a pleasant diversion on our bike tour.

Was very disappointed when we ate here 3 years ago, terrible food. Thought we would give it another try. Again very disappointing. All six of us thought the same thing so wasn't just my view. Oily food, toast was rock hard, bacon was more like jerky. Why is there a cat in a restaurant begging for food?? So many nice... More

We count ourselves really lucky to live close to this lovely cafe where the food is always delicious, the setting is country- relaxed and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Its our "go-to" place for lunch when we have friends from out of town as it always impresses them which gives us "brownie points" as hosts, without the hassle!... More

This has become one of our favourite lunch places. The food is always delicious and fresh, service is always friendly, efficient, helpful and non-intrusive. Recently they have updated their menu again and there are more delightful surprises. I don't normally post pictures here at Tripadvisors, but in this case I think a photo speaks a thousand praises.

Stopped for morning tea and it was a good choice . great service, lots of choice of cakes. I had the amazing pear and maple cake, good coffee and pleasant llocation sitting in the garden. Childrens play area separated from parking area. Not too far from Nelson city centre.

Been there for a quick late lunch, great to find the kitchen still open. Lovely, friendly girl took our orders. The generous serving of Nasi Goreng was for sure a winner.

Had a lunch one fine sunny day, so we ate outside in the garden. They were very busy yet we never felt forgotten. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavours of our Corn Fritters and Mushroom Risotto, delicious. Will make this a regular place to come to :-)

We visited the Grape Escape after being recommended by friends. We sat outside in the garden on the fabulous wooden furniture. It was busy with people enjoying the sunny day, staff were very quick and attentive even though it was busy. The food was really tasty and very well presented. There were six of us so we all tried something... More

We took our Northland family here for afternoon tea after their long flight from Auckland. The outdoor setting is just lovely, 12 of us fitted nicely at a large rectangular table under a leafy roof! They have a plant nursery and now a quilting fabric outlet just beside this beautiful cafe/restaurant. they are licensed so try some of the local... More
