This place is a real treat! We had the fish cakes (some of the best we've ever had), the salted cod (incredible), and some of the delicious pies for desert. If you want a taste of authentic NL food, this is the right place. It's...also great that's community-run and a non-profit, so the money is going to the right places. We also ended up being some of the great jams they had for sale.More

Stopped for dinner on our way from Bonavista to Maberly. It is in an older building with a very basic set up. My wife wanted the Jigg's Dinner but we were informed it was only available on certain days due to prep time. Bit disappointed...that this was not shown on the menu. Food was good otherwise and price was reasonable.More

Charming building and friendly staff. DH had the salted cod dinner and thought it was excellent. I had fried cod and a salad instead of chips. Very good.

We had fish cakes, French fry natchos, scallops wrapped in bacon and salad. They were all tasty but not outstanding. Service was friendly. Prices were good. We didn’t have the lobster although it looked good at other diners table

Simple food - great sandwiches and desserts. Like going to your Grandma's house for a meal. The server told us it is non-profit business that supports the community and it was the by far the best value meal we had in our entire NL trip.

The food and service was perfect. We had the fish and chips and pan fried cod. It was the best restaurant that we ate in within the Trinity and Bonavista area. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere was sweet. The food was delicious. If...you are in the area you have to eat here!!!!More

Authentic Newfoundland fare in a simple setting, e.g., an old church. Local women run this non-profit restaurant and the proceeds support improvements to the hall and local charities. The meals are substantial in size, original, tasty and served by hard working and super friendly women...from the community.More

We ate 2 meals here and were very pleased. Geraldine runs this restaurant and she is wonderful. We missed having Jiggs Dinner (a Newfoundland specialty) on Sunday afternoon but we had cod both times and it was delicious. This restaurant fills up fast so get...there early.More

What a great little authentic Newfoundland restaurant. Definitely a must try. Got to try Cod tongue and Scrunnions. The fish cakes were fresh and flavourful, and the homemade desserts were just waiting on the counter. Stopped here before heading to the Puffin site. Thanks for...a great lunch!More
