Excellent choice of tasty, wholesome, home-cooked bar snacks and an extensive menu of mains. Small, but excellent choice of local draft beers and ciders - more than we could sample, as we still had half a hike to complete! Very friendly, helpful and courteous service. We opted for the bar snacks, which were truly excellent. Two of us had bangers... More

So glad the weather was bad making us only do a short walk into Iden and so have lunch at The Bell. Staff really welcoming nothing to much trouble and great fresh food we will definitely return on our next trip to Rye.

Visited on the off chance for dinner on a Wednesday night, a warm welcome was extended by the young lady behind the bar, who showed us to a table in a light comfortable dining area. The menu while not extensive provided a good range of homemade dishes from soup to cheesecake. The food was well presented and cooked with lots... More

We had 2 meals here (and several alcoholic beverages) when stay with friends a few doors down from The Bell. Taken over by the Gordon's earlier this year the pub has a lovely friendly feel, welcoming to all ages and stages. Great range of local beers (loved Scary Man!) and good selection of wines and spirits too. The food was... More

The staff couldn't be friendlier or more efficient. The menu had many options but all our food was extremely oily, except for the side of seasonal veg which was my favourite bit.

We needed an evening meal on two successive evenings, and used The Bell at Iden. The menu was very enticing, the prices were quite reasonable and the beer was in good order. Also the staff were very pleasant and obliging

We happened upon the Bell Inn on a drive around the area and we are so glad we stopped! We received a warm welcome, and decided to stay for lunch. We both ordered burgers and I can honestly say they were the best we've ever had in a pub! The food was all home made and tasted so fresh! The... More

On a recent visit to the area we stumbled upon this pub by accident. We found all the staff very welcoming and helpful. This is a dog and family friendly pub, we liked it so much we went back for more.

Follow-up to our recent visit. Pleased to say the Landlord sent us compensation and apologised for the very unfortunate incident with uncontrolled dog and abusive customer in the Pub Garden. Thank you both Graham & Vicky
