We were staying at the Old Manor House a few yards from the Inn and were suggested to have our evening meal there. We rang and booked a table and walked to the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had our meal...which was better than the average pub meal. We would definitely return if going back in the vicinity.More

Friendly, pleasant staff who are very accommodating and welcoming on arrival. A lovely window seat, with plenty of space. Atmosphere was good. Nice and quiet late afternoon and a very relaxing environment. Food was piping hot, tasty and well portioned. A good range of high...quality food, and a good mix of drinks. I noticed they do Clean Gin which is a favourite of mine. The specials boards by the fire place are a brilliant idea. I had the cauliflower cheese bake with garlic bread & salad, and my friend had ploughman’s. Thoroughly enjoyed. Even squeezed in room for dessert which I had sticky toffee pudding & ice cream ( again, a nice special to include ) and my friend had ice cream. A very clean and tidy country pub. Shall be returning! Many thanks to Jo and Jodie who served us. Polite and friendly, and made my catch up with my friend even more enjoyable.More

Fab little pub with very friendly staff. We ordered the ribs to share and they divided it onto two plates and we got so much food. Would highly recommend.

Booked to have a meal here again after our last visit in January last year. We we had a meal here then it was great. Friendly staff who were very welcoming. Food was fantastic along with the beer. The New Inn was recommended by our...host Graham in the Old Manor House which is across the road and this was a great recommendation. If you want some good food that is served by great friendly staff then this is the place to come. You will not be disappointed. Would suggest you call to book to be on the safe side as it can get busy but I am not surprised by this at all.More

Wonderful meal for a family meal one Saturday in March. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was awesome! We were tempted by starters - baked goats cheese was super, mains and pudding. Highly recommended. Lovely place to stop on a walk.

Absolutely delicious fish pie. With a friend we chose to have Sunday lunch at The New Inn, and were extremely pleased with out selection. The menu was extensive, as were the special items. After much deliberation, we both chose the fish pie. It was an...excellent choice, and one I would go back for. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere happy and welcoming.More

Not the friendliest pub in the world, At 10.15 on a Saturday night during the Christmas period, the waitress informed us the pub was closing. We asked why and the waitress pointed to the manager, a scruffy man sitting at the end of the bar,...he was with 2 other men, one was asleep on the bar and the other was obviously worse for wear, we just left. Very odd for a business whose purpose it to make money, turning out paying customers. Please note the customers were quiet older people.More

We visit a lot of pubs and tried a lot of pub food. This place is our favorite and no other pub food has come close! We travel a good 20 minutes to get here but always worth it. Friendly staff and usually easy enough...to get a table. I don’t write reviews that often and when I do, they are very much deserved. This place has nailed it, we will always come here when we canMore

You get what you ask for. Good portions of freshly made food nothing out of this world but simple and does the job. Good value for money ( we spent £30 for 2 people’s mains and sides).Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I am sorry, I don’t know if there is wheelchair access. There are steps to the front door and to the beer garden. It is possible there is access another way, but it wasn’t clear.
