We dine here once a year, when we attend the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Winter Fair. This year's visit was by far the best meal here in recent times. Service was impeccable. We had outstanding amuses bouches. The menu was enticing and the wine list was impressive but reasonable. I chose the steak tartare and the pollock followed by the... More

We were full of anticipation for this restaurant which we visited as part of a birthday celebration. Upon our arrival our car was met by a member of staff and we were shown to the lounge where our party had already arrived. The building and the surroundings were really picturesque. There are many interesting works of art displayed within the... More

Really lovely afternoon tea here. Maitre D'H could not have been more helpful when we wanted to change from the rather formal dining room to sofas by the fireplace. Delicious sandwiches, scones & cakes. Special mention for the Welsh cakes & barra brith cake.

We visited for a traditional Sunday lunch and came away with mixed feelings. Llangoed Hall is a beautiful building set in equally beautiful surroundings. The log fire and comfy sofas were much appreciated as we studied the menu and wine list but a slight disappointment set in when we saw that the lunch was a very limited choice, three starters... We recently had afternoon tea at Llangoed Hall and what an amazing treat it was! It was an elderly friends birthday and we were 6 ladies in our party. We were welcomed on the door and taken to our table in the lounge by the roaring fire. We were asked what teas or coffees we wanted and then also served... More

Family stay for a few days and one left overwhelmed as this place certainly has that special feeling whilst you stay here. Stayed in room 3 , and it was fabulous, views over the surrounding fields side and rear which was beautifully decorated . Four poster, large room with a bathroom that could host a party itself. The decor of... More

Llangoed Hall is about half way between me and my friend, dedicated afternoon tea enthusiasts and after hearing about it on TV we thought we had to try here. It was £26 per person, which is standard afternoon tea price. I noticed it's Relais & Chateaux the same company that Midsummer House uses so I had high expectations. From the... More

Wife and I called in for refreshments, Fabulous location, attentive staff. Shame they didn't get our order right. Asked for a pot of tea for one, a cappuccino, and two slices of Bara Brith. Received a pot of coffee, a cappuccino and two stale slices of Bara Brith. Charged £22.00 for the pleasure. I cannot seriously recommend this venue to... More

This a culinary delight not a meal! Choice of 4 courses or 7 I think, each one superb, with perfect staff and service. It is 5 star service with 5 star prices, as you would expect.

Went to Llangoed Hall in June, the old house is beautiful. We ate out on the terrace overlooking the lawn, the freshly made sandwiches were delicious. Later we walked around the gardens and saw the hens and ducks roaming free, which was really nice. The staff were friendly and attentive, overall a lovely day out.
