One of the few Japanese owned restaurants on the North Shore. Every dish we ordered was authentic and delicious. Reminded us of our travels in Japan. I would highly recommend Yohachi!

We came here for dinner and it's one of my favourites in North Vancouver. Great location as it's near the ICBC building, near the movies theatres and sea bus. I ordered their tempera prawns which I got 6 large prawns for less than $10. I ordered separately a bowl of brown rice. It's great they offer a choice of brown... More

My co-worker and I have been going here for lunches for the past 2 years. We are never disappointed and often go here for a calm, relaxing lunch to wind down from a busy morning at work. The music is low and the food is consistently great.

We all loved our sushi. The teriyaki meals were lacking flavor. Good price for quality sushi, using real crab. The seaweed salad does not have sesame dressing, FYI.

Been there with colleagues and found its a decent sushi place which offered good vegetarian options. Ambience is okay. Little short on space. But the food I had was really good and I am going to visit again soon. Please note I am a vegetarian and not sure about their non vegetarian seafood varieties.

Have been dropping in quite often after a movie nearby. This place is a real hidden gem, slightly off the main area but something to keep in mind. Food is excellent whether it be the sushi, real crab California rolls, kukuni or the grill sable fish...all excellent. Comfortable setting and attentive staff, never too busy or too loud after a... Save the trip and go over the bridge to richmond. Their "large" roll is a normal sized roll and the pieces of fish in the roll on the nigiri was the size of a small guppy. The fish seemed fresh for the bit i could taste. Photos on trip advisor are either for advertising purposes or you have to be... More

Why do Japanese restaurants serve hot soup in old plastic or melamine bowls? I would much prefer to be served hot soup in a chinaware bowl. Yohachi bowls are not in good shape and need to be replaced with china bowls. Plastic wasn't meant to be used for serving hot food in. I ordered the Tokyo cut beef lunch and... More

Visited Yohachi Sushi a couple of times during our stay in North Van. The sushi was great - all the fish was very fresh, and presented in an innovative way. The chirashi was served with a quail egg, which was a fun touch, and varieties of fish that I'd never seen in chirashi before. The seafood soup appetizers were also... More
