My Cesar salad had no Parmesan cheese on it and had to ask.....geeezze. I am Italian and can make on wonderful salad at home! I go out not only for a break but to have something better than at home. This wasn’t good at all!
We stopped by for a quick bite to eat and a drink before going to the airport. We were lucky to get in as it was trivia night and it is pretty popular and with covid restrictions too. We shared the white bean hummus and...it was really good. The beer was cold and the service very good.More
If your going for brunch don’t go today- or any other day - a minus rating indeed.
Our server was very abrupt and defensive.
Served people that came in after us while we waited for our table for 5 to be cleared (by her) food...for four of us - bacon and eggs - their special - took 35 min + to get. When I asked the supervisor about 25
Minutes in (I couldn’t find our server) she said (also defensively) and sadly rudely -that a table for 5 was considered a large party and we should be more understanding?
Then once we got ours - our 5th guest whom ordered one eggs benny for his meal got it when we were all but done ours- the supervisor brought it out with no real apology and said the water wouldn’t boil. Bar NONE we won’t be back (and neither will the table at the high top beside us as they witnessed the entire debacle. ) and commented to us -Oh well - lesson learned.More
We just needed dinner after a long day at a conference. Deove by this place and opted to give it a try. Amazing vibe!! Seriously faboulous decore. Service was friendly & fast. We expected pub food & were surprised by the taste & quality. We...really enjoyed our food & stayed much longer than we intended because of service & atmosphere.More
Took photos of broken chairs and material hanging down from the seats, the drinks and food were fine but the upkeep and environment were not, what is happening here....Used to be a nice place but will find somewhere else...
Went here for a date night and we weren’t disappointed. Service was quick once we walked in and staff was very friendly. The salads were delicious with some creativity. We would return again if we were back in Abbotsford.
Went as an 8 person family group to celebrate Fathers Day with lunch at the Townhall Public House in Abbotsford. The lunch reservations for our Family group at 11:30 AM were made the week before Fathers Day. When we arrived there were so many people...there that we could barely get inside the door as people were densely packed into entry. It didn't matter that we had reservations since we were stuck in the entrance waiting as there were no tables available. Nearly 1/2 hour past our reservation time we were led inside and sat down near the bar at one of those high tables with bar stools. We were advised that they were not able to take food orders for an hour so we had to sit on those horrendously uncomfortable bar stools for an hour before we could order. Our group had 3 seniors with bad backs and bad hips so this family outing to celebrate an event ended up being an ordeal. From the time that we arrived to fill our 11:30 reservation until we finished and left at 2:00 PM 2 1/2 hours had transpired. In closing I will never return to this place and if I could make one positive comment the food was excellent and reasonably priced but was in no way worth the ordeal that we had to go through.More
Enjoyed a great night of trivia on Wednesday. Apparently a regular event with a posted calendar of what the trivia topic may be. The facilitator is very good. Game of Thrones trivia coming up in a few weeks. That said, ordered dinner and had drinks...while trivia was underway. Fish & chips was good, just wish there was a bit more coleslaw to accompany the meal. Fairly extensive menu with good prices. Our server was great.
This was our 4th time here and will definitely continue to keep The Townhall on my pub rotation.More
