It is always nice to go to a restaurant and not worry about parking such as the case with L'Academie Pointe-Claire as it is conveniently located in a shopping mall and plenty of free parking... This restaurant is chic, modern, cozy and extremely clean establishment of its' kind...We were a party of 4 and was greeted by a young man,... More

Good looking, average tasting, O.K service. Their main issue is that they put pepper on every dish they serve. The calamari was probably one of the best things on the table. The Fetuccini Alfredo was drowned in sauce and the KIDS pasta had pepper left, right, and center. How could you put pepper in a kids pasta!? The bavette's sauce... More

Just bring your own wine and call it a 3 star. Nothing special, mostly overcooked over peppered over salted food, but cheap comparatively to anything else and desert was ok. Next!

The food is very bland at this restaurant. Service is also very slow and not professional. Too bad because the decor is quite nice and they have a good location. It is a bring your own wine and has ample parking. But I would not recommend this place.

It was my first time at l'académie and I had heard it wasn't so great so my expectations were pretty low (hoping to be surprised). We were a big group for a birthday. The decor is fancy except I don't quite understand why there are tv's in a restaurant that is trying to be fancy. The staff and service was... More

Service was very slow, the food was edible but no seasonings on salads, the fish too rigid not cooked right like the calamaris and the mussels the pasta had too much oil & butter. Moreover it was very noisy, you could not have a conversation with people sitting across the table.

Great choice for a good meal at a reasonable price and it's BYOB too. We tried L'Academie for a casual Friday evening dinner and found that it was great value and good service. There is a good selection of dishes to chose from and the quality is good. For an appetizer we tried the chef's soup which was a Lentil... More
