We stopped here on our way back from Tofino to Nanaimo. It was rated #1 restaurant for Port Alberni but we were disappointed. The salmon was fresh but the cod fish and chips was more batter than fish. Probably should have gone for the halibut!

My meal was delicious, my partners meal - halibut was not hot enough and had to be redone. Great service

Had some excellent battered cod here this evening. Friendly service, food came quickly, good value, locally caught fish. The only thing that would have improved it would be thicker chips - perhaps a different potato. Glad we stopped by, we'd definitely eat here again.

Fast friendly service. The fish and chips are so good. Comes with excellent coleslaw. The prawn skewers are very tasty as well. Family friendly.

You can order cod, halibut or salmon, and have it grilled, deep fried, or panko crusted, but whatever you have, it will be great. There's also prawns, oysters, and chicken on the menu. You won't go hungry.

Did a search online for a local place upbeat that was (a) open and (b) palatable. Found this place via reviews and decided to give it a try. Small place with limited seating but being alone I had no problem finding a seat. I had the regular old halibut and the fries with a few new sauces (no gravy available).... More

One of the cheapest meals that we have had in Canada. Simply grilled salmon, lots of fries and coleslaw for just over $10CAD. Simple menu but Great value friendly service.

This quaint restaurant is in an old church. Decor is unique and inviting. I had the grilled salmon. Very tasty - not overcooked. Folks that had the panko crusted fish said it was much better than the beer batter version. Would try that version if were to return to Port Alberni. Great place for lunch. If you are not into... Stopped in port Alberni on our way to Tofino. We were directed to the Resturant by lady at best western as we asked for fish and chips. We went for dinner and it was great. We then stayed in town for lunch and then stopped again on the way back from Tofino. We had fish grilled with large salad in... More
