We like to stop at Cold Water Hotel Bar & Lounge (historic cafe) for lunch when travelling Vancouver to Kelowna. Enjoyed a passable beef-dip and nice coffee. Someone had done season decorations, which looked very pretty, in the centre of the restaurant. I LOVED to notice the server used the comfortable expression "How is everything?" (rather than the LAME "How's... More

I like eating here. If you are looking for a place to get a fast meal. If you do not tell the server your on the go and need the order fast tracked. You can be waiting a while. But take a seat by the windows and watch the traffic and people walk by. A pretty laid back place. But... More

Just passing through and wanted a bite to eat and a beer. Bar atmosphere was great. lots of history and locals coming and going to keep you entertained. Expected regular pub food but were really surprised with the menu. My wife had a chicken wrap stuffed with goodies and \i had a bannock taco. Yes bannock taco, excellent. A big... More

We wanted to take in the historic atmosphere inside and had dinner here. Hotel was built in 1908. The special steak dinner was very good and the price under $10. couldn't be beat. The air conditioning and cold drinks were perfect, with the 31C heat outside. Staff was friendly.

Stopped for brunch on our way to Vancouver Island, the atmosphere kind of gloomy but the service bright and cheerful, Tazmeen was a delight. I had chicken fingers and hubby had breakfast both were very good I even requested the cooks soup recipe. It was a quick stop over we left well fed and happy.

Had lunch here with a friend on June 13. The service was excellent; friendly, efficient, welcoming. The chicken quesadilla was the best one I've EVER had! Had breakfast there with another friend on June 25 and it was a completely different experience. We were seated by a friendly cheerful lady, not dressed like the servers, who took our order. My... Café and Bar are in same building, very creeping feeling upon entering. It seems the Hotel Coldwater building is a rooming house now and in a state of disrepair. We didn't feel safe staying in the café or bar and left. I wouldn't recommend going there. It is really too bad as it's a building with a lot of character... More

Excellent lunch and very friendly service. We shared a grilled chicken sandwich on focaccia. Mango chutney, melted Brie, and Slaw made this an extremely tasty snack. Outside is very old world saloon. Inside was modern with very welcome air conditioning

We had dinner two nights in the Pub. Grilled fish the 1st night and steaks the 2nd. Both excellent. We ate at 5 pm, so all was quiet. Plenty of sports on the TVs. Friendly staff. We would highly recommend it.

Firstly never judge a restaurant by it's appearance. We were advised by the local tourist bureau [on the highway junction] to try the 1908 Cold Water restaurant. The building is rundown with peeling paint and broken windows and side walk stains of unknown origin[s]. The restaurant hasn't had a make over in many years....But the staff ,especially Krystyna, were extremely welcoming.... More
