It was our first time coming here to eat and it was absolutely excellent. The decor was great and added to a very cozy and homey atmosphere. As a trucker I've been to many "truckers restaurants" and this one was by far the best. The...service was quick and incredibly friendly. We both had salads because we weren't feeling very hungry and they were delicious. The food came out quickly and was exactly as expected. The portions were large (even for a half chefs salad!) and we found them hard to finish.More

The food was very tasty, presented nicely and way more than the average person could eat! The server was wonderful so we had no complaints about that! So why is this only a 4 star review? Well, as nice as your stone floor tiles are,...is there any way you could put a floor carpet runner down the hallway from the lounge to the kitchen (or that's where I suppose the dish cart was going)? With every cart full of dirty dishes, the talking had to stop as we couldn't hear a thing other than that. Maybe I should sit further from the hallway or maybe my ears are too sensitive, but I thought this was worth mentioning. I'll definitely be back regardless!More

Food and service is always good. Typically I would call the bar side geared towards truckers and bikers. The restaurant side is for everyone. Good value for homestyle cooked meals.

My 96 yr old grandfather flew out to Edmonton from North Bay Ontario. He left his handicap placard back home. Staff was accommodating gave me a hand written one to say I was parking legit. Even wrote a note for my dog to let people...know I was checking in on him. As they had a patio last time we were there. As always great food great price great staff. Thanks Blackjacks see you tonight Grandpa is flying home tomorrow keep a lasagna set aside lolMore

Blackjacks has cold beer and friendly staff, Tuesday night during the “non winter” is bike night at Blackjacks and they usually have a poker run too. Haven’t tried the food though.....

Somewhat off the beaten path, this is one spot worth making to diversion for. The country, trucker, biker decor tells you that you will get good food and plenty of it. The breakfast is enough to tide you over fr the rest of the day....5e daily specials are all tasty and the staff is friendly. Take the time to check it out, you will leave full and satisfied.More

Attended a charity event here last evening with friends but truth be told I’m a regular here. It’s a fabulously quirky roadhouse with both a restaurant/family side and the lounge side. The decor is awesome. Lots of fun and interesting finds plus a lot of...history of the place. Can’t say enough about the food. When people ask me what’s good on the menu I always say everything! The portion sizes are HUGE (it is a truck stop after all and truckers like to eat). The prices are great for all the food you get. I often leave with leftovers for another meal. One of the great things about this place is it supports many charity events put on by the bike community. Countless amount of money has been raised here for charity from the events they hold so I love supporting this business. The staff are super fun and friendly. It’s also an easy hop off the QEII to get to. If you haven’t been here I highly recommend you try it! They also are a part of the Airways Hotel and parking. So if you need a hotel or parking for the airport they have got you covered. I always use the parking for flying to work.More

I've been going here for quite a few years now, it's always been a good, reliable spot. The breakfast (most notably the "Super B") is top notch, as are the burgers, sandwiches and other mostly diner-style fare. The service is always on point as well....Awesome decor too (if you love the old school roadhouse look, which I absolutely do), featuring old porcelain signs, racing memorabilia and all sorts of oilfield related stuff. Give it a shot if you're headed through Nisku, you won't regret it.More

It's a trucker / Biker restaurant and bar. Children are allowed in the restaurant, but not in the bar side as they have VLT's.
