My wife described the food as "corporate". If that means safe, uncreative and unmemorable, relatively expensive, but in lovely setting (with spectacular view), that is correct. It was a passable meal at a premium price; I was disappointed. Eat at the Truffle Pigs Bistro in...More

While we only stayed at the Lodge on Emerald Lake one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our delicious dinners in Mount Burgess, as well as a delightful breakfast before our hike around the lake the next morning. I highly recommend any of the CRMR.com resorts or...More

We were staying Field and were anxious to enjoy a nice meal at Emerald Lake Lodge. It took us awhile to find the dining room--signing was pretty minimal--but we finally got there. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Then we waited! First our...More

Service was good (our waiter James was excellent), but the food was just OK and over-priced - unsurprising given captive audience! If you have access to a car i would highly recommend a trip into Field to dine at Truffle Pigs - a far far...More

Whether eating in the dining room, or in the lounge but from the same menu, the food was good and the ambience nice.

Food was marginal at best. Wine prices were absurd (captive audience) Service was spotty. Breakfast was an ordeal: took 10 minutes just to be seated, and then waited 30 minutes for order.

I'm not going to be negative about our waiter, his style may have been someone else's cup of tea. It certainly wasn't ours. Positives: The wine was excellent Negatives: everything else. Waiter advised us to order an appetiser as "our mains were likely to take...More

We ate 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts while staying at Emerald Lake Lodge last week. The food was quite good (wonderful game dishes) and the wine list was superb and fairly priced, and the view is just amazing. The service (like we encountered all across...More

I've dined at Emerald Lake Lodge's Mount Burgess Dining room on numerous occasions over the years--during a visit to the lake, another to scope out the place as our wedding venue, a wedding menu tasting and finally...although not eaten in the dining room, an excellent...More
