The Bistro Burger Joint is a small restaurant by the tracks in Alliston. It can be hard to find but it is worth the time. All the food is local. The burgers are pricey but worth every cent. I also like their other specialty, poutine. Tastes like your back in Montreal.

I have eaten in at this location twice before, but I always find it cold in the winter months....so I have preferred to call ahead and get my order to go. Their fries are The Best Fries I have ever had, and I love that you take your stuff home in a potato bag! Super cute :) I always get... More

Took 6 months but I finally went and tried this burger joint. I had the BBJay. It's basically a burger with goats cheese. It's really a tasty burger. I'm sure you'll find something there you'll like. The service is not the quickest. I still prefer South Street burger and Burger's Priest. But it's a great burger if you are in... More

The "trouble at the henhouse" is a perfect meal for the spice lover! Huge peice of spicy chicken, topped with garlic aoli, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles! Sweats rolling down my face as I eat this amazing burger. I added cheddar, bacon, and banana peppers for extra flavor! If you're stopping in at Bistro Burger Joint, don't pass this up! Got... More

This is a small family run business that uses local farmers' meats and potatoes. I had the bacon, cheese, bacon burger with fries. It's a touch pricey for burgers and fries; however it was really good. The meat does not have steroids or artificial flavours. The portion of fries is huge, I could have shared them. The restaurant is casual... More

Lets be honest, the poutine is a meal on its own they are so big, but i have seen people destroy them as a side and i was impressed. The variety of burgers is great with toppings already built in, but you can add and subtract if needed. If you are in town, or just driving by this is worth... More

very expensive burgers and they don't even take credit!!!, so you have to bring cash or debit. budget for ~$20 per person for burger, fries and a drink at least. They are not even special/tasty burgers.

Had a burger with french fries and gravy. The burger was good and the fries were ok, the gravy was terrible. I found out later they are putting wine in the gravy. NO, NO, NO. Told them it was terrible and they should stop making it that way. Gravy is just find without wine in it. I have never gone... More

Your experience starts with the friendly staff greeting you when you walk in. Excellent service - We sat down for a minute before someone came and wiped down our table - I was impressed. The burger and buns were fresh and delicious - love the extra free toppings. The poutine was a nice surprise - very tasty. My only critique... More
