usually have lunch here. good service, great fries, reasonable price, food has an interesting Quebecois angle that makes the place unique in Iqaluit. for lunch, it's a good idea to make reservations

I ate here because I was staying at the hotel and it was too cold to go out. Had dinner and lunch. Both were excellent. Food was on par with a high end restaurant down south. Service and environment was good but not high end. If in the south I would expect more. I found the dinner to be too... More

Overall the food and service is great. My partner loves the rack of lamb and I usually try and get the caribou medallion. Often times the staff are very professional and helpful.

I have been to Iqaluit several times and I always stay at The Discovery. If you want quality food with incredible flavor and traditional wild game from the land, it's the place. I have the Caribou, Bison and Arctic Char and every time it has been to die for. It is a must eat restaurant. All city restaurant owners should... More

If you like good service, good food and a relaxing ambiance then the Discovery Lodge is where you should plan your next visit. I have tried many of the menu items and all were very good. The prices are a little higher than the other restaurants here in Iqaluit but, for what you receive it is well worth it. I... More

During a recent trip I had dinner at The Granite Room. I ordered the arctic char, which was good, but unfortunately the wait of over an hour to be served was a ilttle long. The gentleman the served us was rather unfriendly and although the restaurant was not overly busy he seemed overwhelmed.

While staying at this hotel, I went for breakfast to the Granite Room. Eggs Benedict with Smoked Arctic Char was delicious. Service was great and very attentive, and everything was really tasty. Highly recommend this place if staying in Iqaluit. Not cheap, but what is cheap in Nunavut!?

The Arctic Char was grilled to perfection. The vegetables and rice complimented it perfectly. Your fresh bread was fantastic.

I have eaten here a number of times, both breakfast and dinner. The food is consistently of high quality and served in pleasant surroundings. As others have mentioned, it is expensive. Also, check their hours before going as they close earlier than is common in the south. The dinner menu is somewhat limited but there should be sufficient options for... More
