Just had lunch with two friends and we were all so impressed with this restaurant, set in a beautiful old Priory building which has been sympathetically restored into a stunning hotel/restaurant. Madiran is famous for its black wine and a must visit for wine gurus. As the weather is very hot the opportunity to sit outside in the shade was... More

A professionally runned restaurant. Updated local french dishes with fresh ingredients. Service with a warm and broad smile of the host & hostess. We went with 2 children (8y & 10y old) => menu's were adapted 'à la tête du client' for a very nice discount. No fish fingers nor steak haché here! Super. A place 'qui vaut le détour'!

Staying locally so tried this out on a Tuesday night. Always a gamble eating out in France being a vegetarian. A quick recce confirmed chef could cook something up and boy did he perform A pleasant dining area and ambiance with the right level of attentive service. The vegetarian from amuse bouche to the main was an explosion of taste... More

This is a little jewel of a hotel, right next to the ancient church in the quiet village of Madiran. Comfort and service was fine and friendly, rooms up to date, functional and restful. Food was decent enough without being exceptional. Wine list could have had more Madiran producers on show but it was good enough. No hesitation in recommending... More

Food below average, expensive! Should be fantastic but was a big disappointment. Beef tough, portions small.

Staying in Hotel Le Prieuré, we of course wanted to also have dinner in Restaurant Le Prieuré. This was a great success. A stylish location (lovely terrace with beautiful view on the eleventh century Eglise Sainte Marie), professional service, great food and top wines at very correct prices. Also the dining room (where breakfast was served) is stylish. A must... More

We have been twice in recent weeks and both times have had excellent interesting food in a stylish dining room with friendly and efficient service. Today we had St Jacques with apple and smoked duck, followed by magret stuffed with foie gras, and a crumble of fruit exotiques with a small sorbet. The amuse bouche was a small bowl of... More

I had a lovely meal here with my parents. All three of us chose to have a three course meal (there are options of 3, 4 or 5 courses, and the menu has english translations). We all picked completely different meals and tasted each others. Entrees: Foie gras on brioche with balsamic-soaked strawberries Tomato stuffed with pork Lightly poached salmon... More

This is a fabulous restaurant. Had sunday lunch on an exquisite day outside. The service is really excellent with professional but very friendly staff. The food was great and I think good value. To top it all a lovely dog was around (but not allowed near the eating area). Great place
