Great food, great drinks and great service over looking the Bay. Their burger is the best. Daily specials offered at good prices. There is also nicely done seafood on the menu. It is a restaurant and pub with an outdoor dining area on the water. A great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

We stopped here after whale watching and had the most amazing food. I got a full crab which was $34, very reasonable. It could have used more salt in the water and garlic in the butter, but other than that it was cooked perfectly. The local chardonnay was delicious. We even saw a otter climb onto the dock in front... More

Nice setting. We stopped mid afternoon for fish and chips. Very doughy and over cooked. Advised the.server who said she would mention it to the cook- stating the obvious......

We visited for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the affordability of the restaurant. The beautiful location and decor, as well as the great food, make this an excellent value for the money.

Casual atmosphere, friendly staff willing to make accommodations. Beautiful setting, kid friendly but not obnoxious. Make a reservation if you want to guarantee a seat, especially on the deck.

I had a very nicely prepared steak and prawn meal. The service was great and friendly. Seating at the bar was not an issue. Getting a view would have been nice...

I was looking forward to Cow Cafe fish and chips, described as being in a tempura batter but was disappointed by the dry halibut and the greasy, tough, heavy, anything but tempura, coating. The chips were not bad. We won't be back to Cow Cafe as there are better choices in Cowichan Bay for fish and chips. We did, however, enjoy... More

Normally one of the best food experiences in the Bay...but word of caution when making reservations...make sure to be explicit with your expectations. We had a special night planned and made reservations to ensure we had a nice table in a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, when we got there, they put us at a table where we both faced a wall....not... We were well taken care of and there was a good selection of healthy foods. Nothing too fancy but exactly what we were looking for. We sat at corner table to sat we could have two views of the marina.
