On a family visit trip to my home town, I decided to check TA for a good restaurant in the area and we chose this one in Muret Le Chateau. We were very happy with our choice as we really enjoyed our both simple and sophisticated 3 course meal and this for just 35EUR each wine excluded. The choice of... More

One of the things which defines a truly great restaurant is consistency; food always delicious, service always impeccable, never a false note. Over five visits to l'Auberge du Chateau, each experience has been nothing short of perfect - a level of consistency not matched by other starred restaurants in the area. What also defines a great restaurant, for us, is... More

Although we live only 20km away this was our first visit. What a delight. A very cleverly managed menu ensured that service could be managed for about 30 people by just one waitress. The food was masterful, brilliantly presented. One tiny criticism was a slight lack of seasoning, but as people who have not been brainwashed by the salt police... More

Dining at l'Auberge du Château reminds me of why my husband and I chose to retire in France: Culinary Asylum. This restaurant is a perfect example of exquisite French cuisine without the astronomical prices, This was our second meal at this restaurant and this time we brought our grandson .The presentation of each course was just as beautiful and creative... There were five of us for lunch when we went on a boiling hot day in August. The chef had menus perfectly adapted to the weather. Fresh products of the highest quality, superbly cooked and imaginative. Muret is a beautiful village and the restaurant has several comfortable hotel rooms, so we decided that next time we would have dinner and... More

Presentations aeriennes, symphonie d'aromes et de saveurs, dans un decor sobre et chic. Une experience inoubliable avec un gout de reviens-y. Amazing presentations, tasty dishes artistically composed with the finest ingredients. An experience not to be missed.

If you are a nature-lover or interested in the history and traditional architecture of the Aveyron, you will enjoy the scenery surrounding the Auberge du Chateau. Situated 20 minutes from Rodez and Marcillac, our hotel is located in the middle of an unspoilt historic village, whose chateau, church and cottages are dramatically positioned in a steep valley. You will enjoy strolling around the village and exploring the nearby waterfall and numerous marked hiking trails.

If you are a fishing enthusiast, you will appreciate the river running through the village. Numerous other outdoor activities are available, including swimming in our hotel pool.
Marc Cordy will share with you his passion for culinary art. He offers delicious and original cuisine based on regional and seasonal products. He creates high-quality and eco-aware dishes, using organic flours, sugars and spices.

As well as meat-based dishes, vegetarian cuisine is always available and specific meals can be created on demand for guests with particular food allergies.

We also sell our homemade jams, pate de foie gras, and cakes from our restaurant shop.

We welcome children. A dedicated playground is available where they can play safely and peacefully
