From the outside the Grouse and Claret looks a nice local restaurant / hotel. We did not stay in the hotel but had lunch in the main bar area. The serving staff were very attentive and took our order for drinks and food very promptly....More

Lovely pub/restaurant. Trouble is the food is so good, it's very popular and very busy. It's a nice location too because you can go shopping around Peak Village and then wander over to the Grouse for lunch or Dinner. Staff are always very pleasant too....More

Good menue choice, lovely location and the staff were great. A friend stayed in the rooms they have and said they were lovely and comfortable. Would recommend for a meal or a nights stay.

Firstly, the address on 'booking.com' is very misleading. We rang the grouse & claret twice & were told that the address given out is not right & that we were to 'ignore that' & just keep driving towards Bakewell & we 'can't miss it' We...More

It is situated on the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell, within easy reach of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby and Manchester, and is therefore ideally located for tourists exploring the region as well as business travellers. Our selection of hot meals includes pub classics as well as a constantly changing selection of specials. We have a range of specially selected wines along with cask ales and a choice of soft drinks, tea and coffee. Room prices include our fantastic breakfast and the Grouse and Claret Hotel also provides plenty of free parking space for hotel and dining guests.
