When we walked in, the aroma was gorgeous from the real fire burning, the place looked lovely and the residential cat was very sweet. We ordered lunch and then became very disappointed. My meal was really badly cooked, tasteless, and I had to ask the...More

They do a nice roastie here and they have a good cocktail selection as well. I did struggle to get my deposit back retrospectively after it was erroneously left on the bill but it wouldn’t stop me going back by any means - just something...More

Where do I start. We ordered a bottle of wine that was costly at £19.50. And we were encouraged to open a tab. We didn’t and paid cash. We then ordered the same second bottle later on at the same price with two small nuts....More

went back in June 2017 and Sunday lunch was brilliant, went today and it was horrible - cold roast spuds, a hair in our friends food, a single slice of Beef and a tiny bit of gravy to share between 6 people - fair play...More

Lovely few hours spent here by the fabulous log fire. The booze isn’t cheap, and there is no draught beer. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay, you get what you pay for. Great food !

I love The Rummer, the staff always friendly and helpful, but most of all I love their cocktails - all made with love and care. I can’t comment on the food as I have never eaten here, but if like me you love a cocktail...More

The Rummer USED to be a gorgeous cozy and intimate place to go for a drink or two, but in recent years it’s lost its shine and feels a lot less special inside. Stark lighting, naff designs on the walls, sticky tables, etc. Despite this,...More

Agree with Dan H (16/12/17) - writing this is retrospect, as unfortunately I had booked for the 10th Dec for Sunday lunch, I’ve seen this place highly rated for a while. Slightly dated feel and not very welcoming. Food I had been looking forward to...More

Went in for cocktails, quite pricey, but the main thing I thought was its waaaaay to bright in there, lit up like a football pitch, soft lighting would suit the decor there, not what you might consider a romantic little bar, it could be. People...More

Description
Tucked away in All Saints Lane in Bristol is the much-loved dining institution, The Rummer Hotel. This gorgeous, classic restaurant and cocktail bar is set inside a Grade II listed building, and with its forest green leather sofas, oversized open fire and historic cellar bar and dining room - the Hotel has a relaxed and welcoming home-away-from-home vibe. Perfect for weddings, group get-togethers and intimate dinner parties, The Rummer Hotel is independently run and the menu, created by a reknowned Head Chef, is filled with contemporary British dishes. The restaurant is popular on weekdays for brunch (don't miss the kedgeree or the The Rummer all-day breakfast) as well as providing a relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere for fine-dining in the evenings. A mind blowing array of fine spirits, and cocktail bartenders who know how to mix them, make The Rummer Hotel's cocktail bar one of the great classic bars, and a destination for cocktail lovers the world over.
