This was a second visit for dinner here, this time for five of us to celebrate a birthday. We were given a nice round table upstairs and enjoyed three courses, wine and water for approx £46 per head, including a tip. Our Italian waiter was...More

River station is a stylish restaurant with lovely views over the river. Staff were very friendly and attentive, unfortunately the food didn’t really match up. The menu is quite narrow with only 6 choices of starters and mains. We had scallops and pigeon for starter...More

Visited the area for a training/ conference and came here for dinner. Great service, excellent food (and good portion sizes) and really good value - chose from the ‘set supper’ menu. It’s somewhere I’d definitely return to if I’m in the area again. Excellent.

We had a quick-ish meal as we had a train to catch. The need to be speedy was happily accommodated though and the food was delicious. Next time we will spend longer and enjoy the whole experience!

Very nice location with wonderful view. Food is well presented, of good quality and at reasonable price for the service given. Vast choice and attention to special dietary requirements. I would recommend it

Service was spot on, reaxed but attentive enough. Food was nicely cooked but not exceptional, price does reflect that though. Would definitely return though.

I've come here a few times with friends or family. It's dependably decent food, nice atmosphere, great service and unbeatable value. The sole I had this past weekend (despite the weird accompaniment of fresh grapefruit) was outstanding and certainly the best I've ever had. Everyone...More

I would have thought you would be okay as there is upstairs and downstairs seating and it is never overly busy but I would still try to reserve for a large party if possible.

I would say that Severnshed next door is a better drinking place; it has a larger balcony overlooking the water so if it is a nice sunny day/evening it's lovely.

I'm sure it will be a good choice for a Saturday if there have room for a table of 10!
