We booked an overnight stay on 11th April. We booked a family room which consisted of a double bed and a separate single. We had room for a travel cot also. The room was clean and plenty of towels were provided. The ensuite was also clean and the shower was fantastic. We didn't eat here in the evening but we... More

Had afternoon tea here and we were the only ones there! The tea and cakes/sandwiches were all very nice. The main problem is the staff either weren't having a great day or it was a language barrier but it felt like an argument had taken place and nobody was speaking to each other! On our way out we said goodbye... More

The menu was a bit limited, especially for vegetarians, but it was all freshly prepared and good quality.

Poor slow service and second rate food There are many great eating pubs in this area so i recommended trying somewhere else as the current owners don't seem to bother about the standard of service as me and my wife complained and they really didn't care as there was not even any form of management on site and most of... Been here many years ago for lunch time, but this was a first for afternoon tea. It was one of the best we have had. Thick Slices of Smoked Salmon, Thick Ham Slices and Thick Cheese.. The ones on Brown Bread were delicious. The White Bread Ones less so.Scones. Clotted Cream & Jam were supplimented by Raspberries. Macaroons and little... More

Nice pub/restaurant not far off the M40. We did a Groupon deal for afternoon tea and could not complain for the money, fair range of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Friendly staff and good service & convenient after a stroll in the nearby nature reserve.

Service very bad. Had to wait an hour and a half. Booked the previous day and told them we would be a party of 10. Person we spoke to didn't speak very good English so had to repeat things a few times. The food was plain, dull and small portions. They informed us they didn't have potatoes so mash was... More

Quick stop for lunch. Good service and although our sandwiches were quite expensive they came with chips and salad so we're actually quite good value. We sat outside but inside looked nice and cosy.

Walked here with friends from camp site near Watlington to have lunch mid way through our ramble. We were first customers at 12 on Sunday. I asked for 2 pints of Doom Bar and when the barman tried to pull the first, the barrel was empty. Good start? The group only wanted light lunches, so I ordered a starter -... More
