Well - that was good luck! We’re visiting Cambridge - we liked the look of Tabanco - we managed to snag a table, and … wow! We had a lunch of genuine delight. I’ve lived in Seville - and this was like coming back home....Don’t think of the food as tapas - well not the patatas bravos and fried calimari kind (nothing wrong with that - I love it!) - but what you get here are plates of top notch Spanish produce, lovingly, skillfully and unfussily prepared. We don’t eat meat - and we had great fish and vegetable dishes. There wasn’t a single dud dish. They really delivered on flavour. For wine lovers - this is the best Spanish wine list I’ve seen in the UK - with some really fantastic Andalucian wines available by the glass. Really fun and rewarding to explore. I also have to say: we loved meeting Sacha. Thank you! You made our lunch really special. You pour your heart into what you do - and you’re a fellow wine lover! 😃😃 We’ll be back as soon as we can. Thanks to the whole team. You should visit!!More

Love this place service is amazing, food is to die for, wine is really good. Loved it little on the pricey side but worth it.

It's true, all the waiters were exceptionally lovely. The menu is limited really limited for vegetarians. Which is a pity as tapas are not. No even patatas bravas, a staple of filing up in tapas bars if you are vegetarian. Such small portions. I know...it's tapas but £3 for three very small slices of bread. Nothing else came with bread. Olives and padrons, gazpacho, but all was cheese. Gazpacho tasty but half a tiny bowl. Share it, they said brightly. Unless you are coming for wine with a few snacks, is not a place to come for a full meal.More

Accidental find. Lovely. Chilled atmosphere. Superb hams and interesting manzanilla. Very satisfactory visit for a bit of spain in Cambridge. Looking forward to revisiting.

When we arrived we though the restaurant looked lovely. A welcoming waitress and a cosy corner seat, with a great view of the restaurant. We sat a while before being served. Oddly they seemed to take the order of one table, go and fetch the...dishes (very quickly!) then the drinks before moving onto another table. They eventually took our order. I asked for the drinks to be brought before the food! The food came: pan con tomate was tasty, wild boar rilettes were ok, white asparagus seemed canned (might be wrong!) and the padron peppers delicious! Then came the cheese board - 5 or 6 tiny pieces of cheese for £15. No bread - just tiny bits of quince and grapes. We asked about bread and expressed our disbelief that the small portion was £15. Response: Spanish cheese is expensive! We actually sent it back as we hadn’t touched it. Really disappointed and will not be returning!More

We popped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed it so much we were there almost three hours and left with two bottles of the wine we'd sampled! Staff were very accommodating and enthusiastic about their food and wine. A great little find!

Visiting Cambridge and picked this tapas restaurant as we fancied some Spanish food. We were not disappointed! Every course was full of flavour, nicely presented. The staff are superb! Smiley, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. And the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. We were so pleased to...have found this gem and wish it was just around the corner from where we live! Many thanks, and please keep Up the good work.More

I adore this place, and am so glad it is back open. We really missed it during the lockdowns. They have a slightly smaller menu these days but everything we had was the same, amazing quality as before. I went with a friend from Madrid...and they were super impressed.More

Walking around the city centre, we were both hungry and happened across this place. It looked quite busy and we managed to get a seat indoors. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, quickly getting the menus and more importantly, the drinks to the table....The food was full of flavour and from the selection we had, there was very little left. The value is quite reasonable too.More
