4 couples visited this pub just before lunch time for a drink, we always look for “real ale”. After a pleasant drink we wandered around as it extends quite far back where there is another bar, which was historically used by airman of the war...More

Great for a Sunday roast or typical English pub grub! Great pub in a great location with decent food, both fancy, but all is well done and decently priced! I don’t rate the food the best in Cambridge, but it is definitely a top pick...More

A packed on Saturday night, but still great! A good atmosphere and a great pint of DNA. We found a seat and had a bit of banter with some other drinkers...all good

Cambridge is packed full of history and historic buildings but if you like your context a bit more 20th century than 15th century then this is a great place for a restorative pint. A couple of different bars with food (not tried) and a snug...More

We visited to have a drink in this historical pub, and enjoyed a few pints of their own DNA. By chance we ended up on the table by the plaque for Crick & Watson, so had lots of visitors saying hello and peering over our...More

Can be a challenge to find a seat in busy periods (I was at a table in an old fire place (table 16)) but a really nice pub, old with lots of character and a wide range of hot and cold drinks to choose from...More

Read the plaque outside sounded interesting. Went in for lunch but given the amount of people in the pub at lunchtime not enough staff. Bartender kept disappearing to do things and chase up orders.Took three attempts at end of meal to get a cup of...More

We went to the pub for a Sunday roast expecting not much of nice food but we got really surprised by the nice pork roast they have and the friendly staff working there. Well done guys!

Food is awful place is rammed and not that friendly, beer choices are pretty good though. It is only worthy of a visit because of that plaque

Some real history here! Order Eagle’s DNA bitter to commemorate Watson and Crick and their discovery of the molecular structure of DNA. They frequented this pub most days at Cambridge. We were lucky to get a seat near their photo and plaque which is near...More

Yes we serve Sunday roasts, but only on Sundays. We offer lamb, pork, beef, chicken and a vegetarian option all served with vegetables, gravy and a Yorkshire pudding.
