Lovely setting, well cooked food served by friendly staff. I like the way they have two sizes for some of the starters allowing you to have one as a main (as the starter is often my favourite course).

Always very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff with a super, seasonal menu with great cocktails, including non-alcoholic ones. Family friendly, relaxing atmosphere, and with regular highlights such as their Summer Willow Fest, comedy and music nights. A fun and magical place.

We celebrated my wife's birthday by trying out a new gastropub in Bourn. We nee we were in for a special night when my children felt they were walking into an enchanted restaurant similar to the Beauty and the Beast film The specials menu was on a large wooden full length mirror, menus and cutlery from a large French wardrobe with... We have been here a few times now - the food is always good. As usual it was packed (we had booked!) - and, as usual, the food was very good, although the fish dish (bream) seemed to me a little small! The puds were also very good - although they seemed somewhat pricey. The coffees were tepid - and... More

We visited on a Saturday evening and most of the tables were full but it didn't feel packed and busy. The tables are nicely spread out, despite the restaurant being fairly small which is nice. We were quickly seated and drinks order taken, the Pinot Grigio was lovely! The food was just delicious! I had the cod fillet with poached... More

I can't review the food here as we never actually got to eat. We ordered a burger each - not too difficult you would have thought, but after 30 minutes, still nothing. We asked about our food and were told "It was just being finished off". 15 minutes later it still hadn't arrived, so we paid for our drinks and... More

Over the last three years we have probably visited The Willow Tree around 10 times for dinner and lunch. The wait for food on every single visit has always been too long in my opinion but we came to expect this after about the 4th visit. Our last visit last Wednesday was no exception as the starters took 25 minutes... More

My sister made a reservation here as it was my nephews birthday. We had never been to this venue before. Great choice on the menu, excellent service and customer care, food came out quickly and it was well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed all three courses and felt extremely relaxed. There is baby changing facilities separate which is good. Parking is... More

Very good food in this converted pub with the eponymous tree dominating a decked patio area to the rear. The dining room is spacious but also contains the bar itself; however (my one point of contention...) there seems to be nowhere to relax pre or post meal with a drink, away from the table. The addition of a dedicated aperitifs... More
