This timelessly civilised and accomplished restaurant continues to maintain its excellent menu and high standard of traditional English food. In my experience, there is nowhere better in this area to enjoy a fine meal with good service and ambience.

After a day in Ely this was the perfect place to round it off. From the moment we arrived to the friendly farewell, everything was perfect. Starting with a drink in the cosy little bar we then had a superb meal. The partridge casserole will...More

Absolutely love this place, wouldn't go anywhere else for a treat. Food is always amazing, staff always friendly. Only place I know where you get asked if you would like more! Fully recommend, you won't be disappointed.

After reading about this restaurant from other reviews we were very disappointed that the food was fairly average and relatively expensive . Good selection of wines eclectic surroundings.

First time back here for a while. It has always been good but previously found the wines a bit over-priced. Now there is an improved wine choice catering from house to expensive. We opted for the Christmas main, and it was the best Christmas meal...More

This home cooked restaurant never fails to deliver. It’s the only place that I know where they gone round and offer seconds of your main course. Great service, good choice of home cooking and lots of very satisfied customers. Highly recommend.
