....and completely unpretentious. And I mean tiny. Two tables, one along the length of the window and one inside, probably seats 10 or so in total. We'd never had pierogi but gave it a go. There's half a dozen or so fillings, plus a daily...special and two soups. What a joy this small place is - the owner is a character, rightfully proud of his food, explains what it is he's giving you and is informal and relaxed to suit what you want to have. I don't eat meat but the better half does so he gave me 6 varied veggie options and the hubby a couple of veggie a couple of meat and the daily special (black pudding!). We watched the dumplings being made as we waited. They were delicious, served with sour cream and crispy onions. They were so good we considered having more although in truth, 6 is a good serving. Then the owner suggested trying the sweet options - raspberry and cream served with cream and cinnamon. Oh my days. This cost us £26 including drinks and was worth every penny. Note it's cash only. The cafe is really small and the tables are high with high stools so if you have mobility issues it could be difficult. Only one meat option (plus the daily special is sometimes meat) so great for vegetarians and takeaway is an option,More

After a lovely walk around the gorgeous city of Chester my friend and I went to try this place out based on the reviews and thoroughly enjoyed it . We opted for the mix which consisted of different flavours savoury and sweet and I must...say that the pierogi's served here were absolutely devine and more than matches the ones you would have tried in Poland . If you are in Chester then this has to be on the list of places to eat . After sampling this you will want more and moreMore

You have to visit pierogi when you visit Chester! They are freshly made and so damn delicious! Don't forget to take cash as they don't accept card. The owner is very lovely as well. 10/10!

The pierogi remain excellent value and they are delicious. Lockdown did not diminish the quality and it’s good to have the specials on the weekend.
