We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with lunch at the Brasserie at the Chester Grosvenor. It is perfect for a special occasion - it feels fancy and everyone was dressed smartly. The food was excellent. We chose from the daily menu and without the champagne (it was our anniversary) the bill would have come to £80, which i think is... More

Absolute first class perfection! The service was gold starred. Attentive, helpful, friendly and polite. The food - out of this world! We would love to visit again sometime.

The ponderous old fashioned interior with faux black marble columns has no windows. The menu has no vegetarian dishes either for starter or main course. The lecture on the ten different breads was an interference with the conversation at our table. Later the lecture on the cheeses went on even longer, with almost every cheese being described as nice. Why... More

I can not fault the food or service, this is by far one of the best restaurants in the North West, they are truly deserving of the Michelin star. I opted for the tasting menu and each course seemed to be better than the last. I was treating my girlfriend for her birthday and they brought out a special selection... More

Stayed at the Grosvenor at Chester. A little apprehensive about dining in such a highly rated restaurant but quickly found out that it was simply divine. Service could not be faulted. Food was exceptional. We had the taster menu which allowed us to sample eight dishes. Wonderful food and great value for money. Wish I lived closer.

Ate here during our stay at the Chester Grosvenor. Service is fantastic - they could not be more attentive. The food is just absolute perfection, it's impossible to find fault. The staff are brilliant - they're professional yet friendly and show real passion for their trade. The sommelier Matteus is wonderful. Absolutely deserving of the Michelin star - one of... More

This is a gem. We had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived until our departure about four hours later. The ambience is very special - in the bar and the restaurant - total tranquillity. Service started with cocktails and really imaginative canapés. Our three course fixed price dinner (so nice to have no supplements!) was superb and of... More

Although this is one of the dearer restaurants we have dined at, it was by far the best! We had the taster menu and wine taster menu, and both the service we received and the food/drink we had were impeccable.

This is the third time we have eaten here, and yet again the whole evening was very special. The service was exceptional, and the food equally so. Never seen a bread trolley, or Cheese selection like it. The pace of the meal was good, and if you need to celebrate a special occasion then this is the place to do... More

My wife and I dined from the signature menu, not masses of choice, however the quality and presentation of food was excellent. This was backed up with professional and attentive service. At £50/head you really shouldn't expect anything else should you. Will I go back? Definitely. Check out the hotel and breakfast deals, as a package you maybe presently surprised.... More

Description
Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.
