After a nice walk on a sunny day bobbed into here to eat. Nice looking modernised pub with friendly staff and lovely views. The pub was busy inside and out but the staff were on it and very attentive. We ordered the Trio of Belles which purported to serve three types of meat, duck fat roasties and Yorkshire puds...... boy... More

Visited recently and selected stuffed mushrooms en croute with a rocket side salad as I was not very hungary though my husband was. Very disappointed that the stuffed mushroom was served on a slice of toasted french stick with no pastry anywhere & on quering this with the curt waitress I was told it always came like that! Why state... More

Lovely setting and great playground for the kids. Adult meals were good but the kids ones were poor. They were very small, suitable for 3 year olds but not our 8 year old. Very bland too. We heard great things about this place but were disappointed as soon as we walked through the door as we were greeted by a... More

Went here with 2 friends for an evening meal. The menu had some interesting items. I had Lamb and Chorizo Curry. This was well presented. There was good space between tables. Reasonable beer selection and good service.

I was invited by friends to join them in a wine tasting evening during a recent visit to Chester. Not only was the presenter amusing and informative about the wines he selected but the food was also excellent and the wait staff extremely pleasant.

I have visited for mid week business meeting snacks, so know the quality of the food and service - but this was first time I'd experienced Sunday Lunch. Frankly, I love home cooking and roasts best of all - usually preferring them. But I was delighted with the high standard of cooking here - as good as the very best... More

Nice selection of drinks available, menu was varied with a number of different offers available throughout the week. I had the gammon which was cooked perfectly. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere in pub, would visit again if in the area
