Excellent Asian Keralan food from Southern India. The food was very different from a traditional Indian/Bangladeshi meal and worth seeking out. The dosas are superb and the range of fish, meat and chicken outstanding. Must be the best as we had to wait on a...Monday nightMore
And you thought Cheshire was a culinary wasteland for Indian cuisine. Well, not any more. Excellent tasty Keralan food, served by excellent staff. In particular, the Dosas are the best Ive ever had in the U.K.
Best South Indian restaurant in the North West of England.
Starters are fantastic and we went for the platter to share for £19.99.
Squid Rings with Chilli Sauce so tasty
Veggie Samosas wonderful
Puff Potato Balls excellent as were
June has a Chrispy...Lentle pancake
I had Chicken Nazdan Madrass with Mushroom Rice
Just had room to finish mine but we were stuffed
Terrible slow service
Bland tasteless and cold when eventually arrived after 1 hour wait after dry popadoms.
The dosa had about 4 tiny dry cubes of bland chicken, the Goan fish curry had about two flakes of salmon in it which was very similar to...tinned salmon? The rice was hard and cold and the naan dried out and hard. We walked out never to return save your time and money and avoid!More
All the dishes were very nice, not greasy and presented well. The staff were efficient and friendly. It would've been even better if they had listened to our requests to spice up the dishes, they were too mild. The food was good and the ambience...were very pleasant, as usual.More
I rang ahead and explained I had a severe nut allergy and was told what I wanted to order was fine. There was even an option to select if you wanted it to contain nuts, which I did not select. When the order turned up...it was covered in cashew nuts. I rang the restaurant and was met with a lot of arrogance and a very rude member of staff. Do not eat here if you have any allergies.More
Greeted with friendly staff and seated and served efficiently. I travelled in South India many years ago and loved the food. Coconut Grove didn't disappoint. The masala does was as tasty as I remembered and the lamb was amazing. I only wish I lived near...so I could be a regular.More
