Very disappointed with no gluten free cake and staff did not seem to be interested. We had been before and it had been good but on the day we went it was poor.

This is a very cozy place to have a bite to eat. I had a huge steaming bowl of soup which was extremely tasty. The others in our group were equally pleased with their tasty and generous meals. Clair Eeley, the owner was very warm and friendly. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal.

We visited Chester on Saturday 31st December and we found this lovely little cafe that took in our medium size Labrador dog. What a find, friendly, good food and reasonably priced. The best thing was the dog received his own little bowl of treats and the service was excellent. All visitor going to Chester with a pet should visit this... More

After a nice walk into town, needed a bite to eat so first stop was the 'cafe @ the walls' the waitress was both friendly and helpful and the home made soup & roll was delicious and really hit the spot! Would thoroughly recommend & WILL be going again!

We hadn't read the reviews but just called in as we wanted something to eat. I had a breakfast and husband a mega. All cooked to order, fresh, hot and tasty. I can see us coming to Chester more often! Also noticed quite a few gluten free cakes but didn't try them

Great place for a snack - small quaint and friendly staff. We searched the city centre for a dog friendly place to eat and had no luck. Trying away from the centre we headed for the river bank and came across this little gem. Just next to the city walls. Good prices for snack food. Nice cakes - all below... More

Spent an hour or so walking around the circumference of the walls of Chester so I guessed we might have been entitled to a break. Although we didn't eat here the coffee was great. We couldn't help noticing that the 4 people on the next table were certainly enjoying their all day breakfast. It looked very good value for money.... More
