Stopped by for an early dinner. Lovely mid sized restaurant with amazing views of the bay. We tried a selection of their starters- scallops, mussels and pig checks all of which where delicious and artfully presented. Mains where a bit of a hit and miss. The Seafood Goan Curry was divine, great balance of flavours, well presented and an amazing... More

The most delicious and fresh fish special served with a seafood broth and sea vegetables. I savoured every mouthful because the flavours were so varied, the fish was cooked to perfection and the textures were wonderful. Their speciality is fresh lobster and crab, but these need to be reserved in advance. I didn't know this and initially was really disappointed... More

Very disappointed. Have visited this site for over 15 years with its various Owners. Fantastic location and views. We had to wait half an hour for our wine, an hour plus for Tapas. Should bread and oil be a Tapas? All four of us were disappointed with our mains. John Dory special,ok, beets non existent and very small portions of... More

Came here for an anniversary dinner, and were pleased overall. The staff were very friendly and no request was too much trouble. The restaurant was busy but not packed, although our table was pretty cramped. We ordered pig cheeks for starter (excellent) and the signature seafood platter for a shared main (the main steamed bucket was beautiful - scallops, tiger... More

We had a great lunch with family and friends here, the views are brilliant and the food amazing. Almost all of us had their special seafood platters which are just great. The only trouble was wanting the rest of the menu too. Will return.

Having heard about the high reputation from friends we booked for a birthday celebration and were very impressed with the food. The great outlook over Falmouth Bay was an additional bonus....no wonder travellers speak so highly of this place. Talking of Plaice the establishment specialises in fish dishes so we had the special sole on crushed potatoes etc and it... More

We love this restaurant with great views across the bay. The tapas menu was great and had some delicious olives and also cold mussels in a sweet vinegar which were amazing. The choice of fish is amazing and we went for the sharing platter for 2 which included mussels in Thai Red Curry sauce, scallops, fish tempura, squid tempura, prawns,... More

Stumbled across this place when walking the coast path from Maenporth to Swanpool - popped in for coffee and saw the dinner menu and booked immediately for the same evening! Arrived for dinner that evening - we were squeezed into the corner, not much space, the restaurant was choccabloc - however we felt this boded well for a Saturday night... More

Description
Lazy lunches. Decadent dinners. Sublime shellfish. Hooked on the Rocks is a quick walk away from the bustle of Falmouth town and is all about beautiful, relaxed and fun dining experiences. We overlook Swanpool Beach, across Falmouth estuary and over to Pendennis Castle and St Anthony's Lighthouse. It's a spectacular setting whatever the weather, and we love to share it with everyone that visits. It's a view that inspires. And it definitely inspires the team down here every day and influences both our menus and our ethos.Hooked on the Rocks is the place for the best Cornish seafood and shellfish. Our chefs focus on the freshest fish, using whatever our fishermen have to offer that day. And we make sure it's sustainable too. We love Cornwall and we love fish and our aim is simple: to serve up great dishes that show off Cornish produce in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our ever-changing platters are a great way to try local shellfish, our crab and lobster tank is an old favourite for crustacean fans, but we always make sure we've got a few steaks on, and vege options too.Hooked on the Rocks is great for a morning coffee in the sun, a long and lazy al fresco lunch, or the perfect way to end a hard day out and about.
