We walked in with no booking and the lovely, friendly staff took us straight to a table even though they were already busy. The menu was great. We shared a nachos starter - best we have ever had. I had the "Posh Beef & Reef" from specials menu. Wow. Just wow! Wife had the salmon & was also extremely happy... More

Had dinner here one night, very good menu choice. Portion sizes were very good served with half chip and half new potatoes and veg which was very nicely cooked. Lots of choice especially if you like fish and a few items on specials board. Quite expensive but well worth the money. Would recommend booking if coming during busy period

We don't usually eat out expensively, but felt we got our money's worth here. My wife's a sucker for mackthe sea bream and the coalfish steamed in a paper bag. Veg was plentiful. Couple of glasses of very palatable rose. For me, what made it most memorable was their willingness to give me a piece of camembert instead of a... More

We had dinner here one night and it was fabulous. The portions were very generous, the food was marvellous as were the wine and wait staff. I had salmon here and it came with loads of vegetables and potatoes. The starters were also very lovely. I don't know if I could have asked for a better meal! I will be... More

We were recommended to dine here and it was excellent. Food was first class, very good quality and well presented. Service was attentive and pleasant. Surroundings are interestingly - we were seated downstairs next to some ship's tackle and rope !! You do need to book thou, as the place seems very popular.

Booked a table sat eve for Sunday whilst on holiday . Carvery was 9.50. Service was excellent, got quite busy but their were a few different serving times which was spot on. Food was of a high standard a portion sizes for adults and kids was just right. The staff gave excellent customer service and could not do enough to... More

Lovely cosy atmosphere, great service and excellent food. Tucked away down one of the tiny streets. Particularly enjoyed the chunky fish soup.

We found this place by chance up a dark alley one night and it was full (always a good sign) we returned after 15 minutes and managed to get a table in the celler. Very atmospheric with great friendly service. The food was excellent all round and not too expensive. We went again the next evening and enjoyed it again.

From the outside looks an amazing quaint and very old interesting building and inside didn't disappoint. The building is lovely. The welcome to the restaurant is nice and friendly so is the service. The food however was a disappointment. The vegetables were dry with no flavour. The scallops although nicely cooked for tenderness they had no taste you get chips... More
