We go here regularly and have never had a bad meal. The service is good and the surroundings are full of lovely ancient charm. A wonderful place to eat, full of atmosphere and warmth with great friendly staff!

Where do I start. Booked this place because of all the good reviews. Sat looking at a wall 3ft away for 50mins whilst my wife looked at a scary bust. Had 1 drink at that time. Then a waitress came over to say" sorry we lost your order" so they rushed our order through. If you like raw scallops and... More

What a beautiful old place. Me and my wife both had the posh beef and reef (fillet steak, prawns, mussels and scallops), they were amazing. Perfectly cooked! Highly recommend. Place is quite dark tho so watch your step

Whilst looking for somewhere to eat I noticed that I could look through the window into this kitchen and see the chef working. I stood there for a few minutes admiring the chef's (Matthew's) work until he came to the double window (serving hatch?), opened it and told me to quote "(quote removed)" - let's just say it wasn't pleasant... We have a lovely evening celebrating my husbands birthday. The service was excellent and the food was extremely good. I would recommend the scallops with chorizo and the duck which was cooked just how I like it

We came here with friends for Sunday lunch last weekend, as they had recommended Smugglers Cott, and we weren't disapppointed. The queue for the carvery was long, and was a good sign, I thought. It was. The various roast meats were cooked to perfection, and you could have a bit of each: beef, lamb, turkey and pork. The veggies were... More

Went here with my partner during a weekend away in Looe and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Lovely setting, great service from the staff and very well priced for the quality of the food. Would recommend the beef stroganoff, best meal I've had in a very long time

6 of us visited the Smugglers Cott in January 2017 on a wet Saturday evening, it was fantastic to walk into a warm and atmospheric restaurant. The food was good but, to be honest, I think it could be improved. I had nachos to start and they were literally the worst thing I've tasted in Looe, a real let down... More
