The food & service is great, but for the amount of food you get it is way overpriced. £50 for a main and drink for 2 with 2 sides of chips. Wouldn't have minded but I ended up going for a pasty afterwards as I was still really hungry! The food was great, just need to either drop their prices... More

Saturday evening dinner. Looked promising but soon turned into a farce. The food was good, although our order was messed up. The service however not so. First they forget my beer. Second they mess up the food order and don't apologise- in fact imply it was our fault Third three attempts to get salt and pepper fail! Not likely to... More

Don't be put off by previous comments! We gave a 5 based on the food! Starters: Whitebait and sea food spring roll. Mains: Sautéed sea food, perfectly cooked squid, scallops and prawns. Mouth watering soft shell crab. The restaurant only opened under new owners two weeks ago, I'm sure the the decor will improve! I do agree that the menu... More

Situated on the harbour there are good views from here, and I suspect in the Summer months this place is very busy. There is outside seating if the weather is warm enough. We booked for my husbands birthday, and were told at the time there was a large group that evening, which we accepted, this was not a problem at... More

The menu was baffling and limited, the prices too high and the food below average. Specifically the main courses are basic and exclude vegetables, chips, potatoes, bread, etc which have to be ordered separately greatly adding to the cost. The standard of the food was at best average, with no viable vegetarian options and portions small. The inside of the... More

The restaurant has good views overlooking the harbour which enticed us in. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and even looked a bit shabby but the menu was promising with a super range of mostly seafood dishes (with a couple of meat dishes and just one vegetarian option which could have been a problem as we had a vegetarian with us). However,... More

I have visited this restaurant once before (5* Review) so I just had to share the experience with my family when we came for the festival. What a huge disappointment!! There was no surf and turf and no main menu. We found that out after ordering. We were then given a small revised menu and the only thing anyone fancied... More

We spoke with a barman in a nearby pub, and in conversation, he suggested the 'Trawlers restaurant' would be a good option. Offering mainly fish options, the choices suited me, my wife and our friends with widespread options, super flavours and very satisfied customers. Will look to travel there again ......

We went here after finding the restaurant we had originally planned to visit was shut. This place looks more like a cafe from outside despite the full bar at the back - but dont be deceived - the food is first class. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The soft shell crab was the best I have ever had... More
