After browsing the many restaurants on offer in Looe we decided on Mawgan's. We were warmly welcomed and had an excellent meal back in the summer. Will definitely return on our next visit.

This is a lovely restaurant - homely in all the best sense of the word. There was a good choice of fresh fish with a choice of how it was served. The scallops were fresh and well cooked, and really good to see them served with the roe. My haddock cooked with wine and fish stock, served with fresh vegetables... More

Had just the best evening at Mawgan's last night! The fish was incredible,so fresh and cooked amazingly! But the service was also so lovely and friendly, very welcoming, offering ideas for places to visit and happy chatting even after everyone else had left. We even made friends with some of the locals who were equally as charming! Overall a lovely evening!

If you are looking for a relaxing evening dinner with excellent food and a very warm welcome, you need to come to Mawgan's. Booking is highly recommended as is the crab bisque. Nice touches include a proper fish knife and fork. With notice, they will even buy in any desired fresh fish from the local fishermen and cook it to... More

We always book to eat here every time we visit Looe, which tends to be twice a year. Steve is an amazing cook and Kim front of house is lovely. I would recommend this place if visiting Looe.

Mawgans is unique in it's ability to bring traditional service together with a contemporary menu. We really enjoyed the meal, the experience and chatting with the proprietor. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Every time we come to Looe we have to visit Kim and Steve at Mawgan's as the food and service is second to none. We booked it for a friday night as this was my birthday and on arrival we was given a really warm welcome from Kim. Steve was busy working his magic in the kitchen. We was quickly... More

I rarely put a review on places where we've eaten but I have to say what an enjoyable evening we had at Mawgans last night. A huge thank you to Kim and staff. There were 12 of us, all locals, who dine regularly in Looe and we were all very impressed with the quality of the food, the service and... More
